The Central Board of Secondary Education administers the CTET, or Central Teacher Eligibility Test, which is a national-level test in India (CBSE). It is used to determine whether or not candidates are qualified to be appointed as teachers. CTET is held twice a year and is for educators interested in teaching grades 1 to 8. Paper 1 and Paper 2 are the two types of CTET tests. Candidates who wish to teach grades 1 to 5 are required to take Paper 1. Candidates who intend to teach grades 5 to 8 are required to take paper 2.
The CTET is an offline exam that lasts 150 minutes. The test is administered in English and Hindi. CTET is held in over 112 cities across India. The admit card for the exam is usually made available three weeks before the exam date. CTET Exam 2022 is expected to be held in July. However, the board has yet to make an official announcement. Candidates can check the CTET official website for notification of upcoming exam dates. Candidates can obtain it from the CTET official website. CTET is required to become a teacher in both private and public schools. Candidates who pass the CTET can apply to any private school, government-aided school, or even Army school. It is critical to note that candidates are now eligible to apply for DSSSB, KVS, and NVS exams.
Are Engineering Graduates Eligible for The CTET Exam?
Engineering candidates interested in pursuing a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree are eligible. The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) 2014 relaxed the standards, allowing engineering graduates to pursue B.Ed programmes. With this decision, Engineering graduates will be able to pursue a B.ED programme in Mathematics and Science.
According to NCTE criteria, Engineering graduates with any background in Engineering courses and a minimum of 55 per cent marks are only eligible for a B.Ed course in Mathematics and Science at a specific university. Other candidates are also eligible to sit for the state-based TET exam. After completing an engineering programme, you can pursue a bachelor’s degree in education, which will qualify you for a variety of teaching positions.
Candidates for the CTET Exam must be graduates with a B.Ed degree, according to the basic eligibility criteria. As a result, candidates with a B.Ed degree after passing the Engineering exams are eligible to take the CTET exam in 2022.
