Digitalization has paved the way for mobile banking, through which customers can conduct financial transactions remotely using smartphones/tablets. Respective financial institutions provide the software application for the purpose. It is available 24 hours, only depends upon the internet connection. Transactions depend on the application available. Customers can check account balance, list of transactions, fund transfer details, P2P payments electronic bill payments, etc.

UPI, Unified Payments Interface, is a system that powers multiple bank accounts into a single mobile application (of any participating bank), merging several banking features, seamless fund routing & merchant payments into one hood(http://cashlessindia.gov.in/upi.html).
How to access:
- One needs to have a bank account
- A valid mobile number linked to the account
- Smartphone with internet facility
- Debit card
For activating thew service provided by the bank, download the app for UPI, do registration part with account details, create a virtual ID and set MPIN ( Mobile banking Personal Identification Number).

Bharat Interface for Money (BHIM, https://www.bhimupi.org.in) is a payment app that lets you make simple, easy and quick transactions using Unified Payments Interface (UPI). You can make direct bank payments to anyone on UPI using their UPI ID or scanning their QR with the BHIM app. You can also request money through the app from a UPI ID.
BHIM Aadhaar Pay(https://www.npci.org.in) enables Merchants to receive digital payments from customers over the counter through Aadhaar Authentication. It allows for any Merchant associated with any acquiring bank live on BHIM Aadhaar Pay, to accept payment from the customer of any bank by authenticating customer’s biometrics.
