About Flipkart GRiD 8.0

Flipkart GRiD 8.0 returns as a flagship platform for engineering students to test their coding, AI, and data skills on real-world commerce problems and compete for internships and full-time roles at Flipkart. With separate tracks in Software Development, AI Engineering, and Data Science, GRiD now positions itself as a foundational AI accelerator for early-career tech talent.

Who should apply

• Engineering students enrolled in B.E./B.Tech, M.E./M.Tech, M.S., PhD, or Dual/Integrated programs who are within the eligible graduating years (2027–2030 for Bachelor’s/Master’s; 2027–2031 for PhD/Dual & Integrated) should consider applying.
• Students aiming for internships (summer/winter) or campus/early-career full-time roles at a product-focused tech company will find direct hiring opportunities through the challenge.

Program Registration

Participants must register individually before the deadline. Please ensure all submitted information is completely accurate, as providing incorrect data will result in immediate disqualification.

Tracks and Roles

GRiD 8.0 focuses on the New Age skills that prompt the future. You can choose to apply to any or all of the 3 tracks: Software Development, AI Engineering, and Data Science. Based on your performance, you will be shortlisted for the respective tracks accordingly.

Format

• Round 1 – Screening

Evaluated on academic consistency, non-academic achievements, and overall profile strength. Shortlisted candidates proceed.

• Round 2 – Coding Assessment

A 90-minute proctored test with questions that test your coding abilities, and other technical aptitude. Advance based on the test cases cleared vs the cutoff.

• Round 3 – Case Study Code

Receive a Flipkart business problem. Build a system-level technical solution or tool, then ship the code for review.

Hiring Process:

• Round 4 – National Finals

The Top 48 (16 from each track) will be invited to Flipkart HQ in Bangalore. Form teams of 4, and participate in a live Hack-a-thon to build a working prototype and present to the leadership.
