The notification for the post of Probationary Officer has been released by IBPS. There is a total of 1417 vacancies this year. As the much-awaited notification has come out, the doubts regarding the exam has also risen. The doubts are regarding the age, eligibility criteria, selection procedure and so on. So, we have compiled a list of frequently asked questions (FAQ) regarding IBPS PO examination.
1. From when does the application process for the post of PO start and till which date can we apply?
Ans. The online registration (including editing /modifying the application) will commence from 5th of August,2020. The applicants can apply till 26th of August,2020.
2. When are the exams expected to be held?
Ans. The tentative dates for the preliminary exams are 3rd, 10th and 11th of October 2020 and that of the mains is 28th of November, 2020.

4. What is the fees for applying for IBPS PO?

5. What is the age limit to apply for PO?
Ans. Minimum age = 20 years
Maximum age = 30 years.
i.e. A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1990 and not later than 01.08.2000 (both dates inclusive).
Relaxation in upper age limit has been provided to the following categories

6. What is the qualification required to apply for the post of PO?
Ans. Candidates should have a Degree (graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the GOI or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government.
The candidate must possess a valid mark-sheet/degree certificate that he/she is a graduate on the day he/she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.

8. Can students who are appearing in the final year of their degree eligible for IBPS PO exam?
Ans. Those students whose graduation result will be declared on or before 26.08.2020. They should be able to submit proper document from Board/University for having declared the result on or before 26.08.2020 while appearing for interview.

Ans. The selection procedure for the post of PO is carried out in three stages.

10. What is pattern of the preliminary and main examination?
Ans. Preliminary exam will be conducted online and the structure is as follows:

Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing minimum cut off marks to be decided by IBPS. Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by IBPS depending upon requirements will be shortlisted for Online Main Examination.
