KDRB Work Superintendent 2025: Other Important Provisions

1. Age Relaxation for Temporary/Daily Wage Employees:

   • Those who are about to exceed the upper age limit of 55 years due to unavoidable reasons and who are currently working temporarily/daily wage in various government departments can apply if they meet the qualifications.

   • Candidates who have at least one year of service will be eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit equivalent to their temporary service period.

2. Weightage Marks for Temporary/Daily Wage Service:

   • Candidates who have worked in similar technical posts under temporary or daily wage basis through selection by the Kerala Public Works Department Recruitment Board will be awarded 1 mark for every completed year of service, up to a maximum of 10 marks (only if they secured marks above the cut-off).

   • These candidates must submit a service certificate from the appointing authority mentioning:

     • Date of joining

     • Name of post and department

     • Nature of appointment

     • Duration and type of service

3. High Court Order Compliance:

   • The above provisions are subject to the final verdict in High Court case C.A No. 4670/2023 and other related cases.

4. 10% Reservation for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) in Hindu Unreserved Communities:

   • As per G.O(P) No.79/2019/RD dated 18.11.2019, 10% reservation is applicable for EWS candidates in Hindu unreserved categories.

   • Eligible candidates must submit an EWS certificate issued by the Village Officer as per the government order.

5. Eligibility Criteria for EWS:

   • No member of the applicant’s family should be a regular government employee in Central/State/Public Sector/Co-operative sectors, or institutions receiving government aid.

     • Note: Temporary employees in such institutions are exempt from this rule.

   • The applicant’s family must not have:

     • Income above ₹25,000 per month (from all sources)

     • More than a specified amount of land/property

     • Other wealth/assets as per prescribed norms

   • The EWS certificate must be signed, dated, and stamped by the Village Officer.

6. Upcoming Reservation Amendments:

   • As per the Kerala Government’s order dated 22.06.2024 (Ref No. 3/177/2022), recommendations have been submitted to amend the current recruitment rules to ensure proper representation of Hindu reserved categories.

   • Once approved, these amendments will apply to this selection process.
