Medical Certification
Candidates must produce a medical certificate from a Civil Surgeon certifying physical fitness, vision standards, and suitability for rough outdoor work.

Selection Process for Kerala Fire and Rescue Officer Driver Recruitment 2025
The selection process for the Kerala Fire and Rescue Officer Driver (Trainee) involves the following stages:
- OMR Examination
- The first stage of selection is the OMR exam. Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements, including age, qualifications, and physical standards, to be eligible to appear for the exam.
- Confirmation for the examination must be submitted through the One Time Registration profile. Only confirmed candidates can download the admission tickets for the test.
- Physical Measurement & Efficiency Test

Post-Selection Conditions for Kerala Fire Rescue Driver Recruitment 2025
After successfully passing all stages of the recruitment process, candidates must comply with the following conditions for appointment:
- Preferential Qualifications
- Home Guard Volunteers who have completed a tenure of three years will be given preferential consideration.
- Seniority among recruits who have qualified in the test conducted by the Fire and Rescue Services Academy will be determined based on the advice of KPSC. They will be appointed based on their seniority after completing successful training.
- Bond Requirement
- Candidates appointed to the post of Fire and Rescue Officer (Driver) through direct recruitment must execute a bond.
- The bond requires candidates to serve in the department for a period of five years. If the candidate fails to serve for the specified period, they must pay an amount as prescribed by the government.
- Probation Period
- After completing the training and examination, candidates will be on probation for a period of two years. The probation will be within a continuous period of three years from the date of joining duty.
- Training and Examination
- Selected candidates must undergo a training course for four months at the State Fire Service Training School.
