1. Written Test:

   • The first stage is a written examination or OMR/online test, which evaluates candidates based on their educational qualifications and general aptitude.

   • Only candidates who meet the required marks in this stage are shortlisted for the next step.

2. Interview (if applicable):

   • Certain posts may require an interview after the written test for further assessment of skills, knowledge, and suitability.

   • Candidates will be called for the interview based on the shortlisted list from the written test.

3. Ranked List:

   • The Kerala PSC publishes a Ranked List of eligible candidates based on their performance in the selection stages.

   • This Ranked List remains valid for a minimum of one year and a maximum of three years from the date of publication, unless a new Ranked List is issued after the minimum period.

   • Recruitment advice for vacancies is issued from this Ranked List, following the rules of reservation and rotation.

   • Candidates cannot choose a particular Company, Corporation, Board, or scale of pay; appointments are made as per availability and rules.

4. Cancellation of Appointment:

   • The Commission reserves the right to cancel the appointment of any candidate if it is later found that the advice was made in error.

   • In such cases, the appointing authority will terminate the candidate’s service, which must occur within the probation period or 240 days from joining, whichever is earlier.
