Qualifications required to apply for the post
Kerala PSC Driver/Office Assistant Shortlist 2020 has been released. The candidates have to acquire thorough knowledge about the post eligibility, qualification and necessary medical fitness for the post.
Age
The candidates who are interested to apply for the post of Driver/Office Assistant under Kerala Public Service Commission must be between the age of 18 to 40 years. There is certain age relaxation for the candidates from the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Communities.
Educational Qualifications
The candidate must have pass 7th standard or should have equivalent qualification.
Other Qualifications
- The interested candidate must have a motor driving license of at least three years standing and a driver’s badge.
- The candidate must have the proficiency to drive light duty vehicles which will be tested during the practical test.

Medical Fitness
- Ear: Should possess good hearing capacity.
- Eyes: (Both the Eyes)
- Distant Vision: 6/6 Snellen
- Colour Vision: Normal
- Near Vision: 0.5 Snellen
- Night Blindness: Nil
- Muscles and Joints: should have no paralysis and all the joints must have free movement.
- Nervous System: The candidate’s nervous system must be perfectly normal and should be free from any infectious diseases.
The candidates are supposed to produce a Medical Fitness Certificate from a medical officer not below the rank of an assistant surgeon and a Medical Certificate regarding the candidate’s vision obtained from an ophthalmologist in Government Service when called by the commission. A practical test will be conducted by the Kerala Public Service Commission for the shortlisted candidates which will include a H test in order to assess the proficiency in driving. The candidates who pass the ground test will be considered eligible for the road test.

The Kerala Public Service Commission has published its latest notification regarding the post of driver/office assistant in the official website. The notification dated 11/12/2020 is regarding the shortlisted candidates. In the notification one can find a list of few registration numbers of the candidates who are shortlisted and considered eligible for the practical test followed by the verification of the original documents for the post of driver cum office attendant.
