The Kerala PSC LSGD Tracer Selection Process 2026 will be conducted as per the official notification issued by the Kerala Public Service Commission. Stage 1: Written Test / OMR / Online Examination

According to Kerala PSC Notification No. 633/2025, the Tracer vacancies under the Local Self Government Department (LSGD) are announced on a district-wise basis. The total reported vacancies are Thrissur – 02 posts and Wayanad – 01 post. Candidates must submit their Kerala PSC online application for only one of these districts. Applying to more than one district will result in removal from the ranked list and possible disciplinary action.
Kerala PSC will prepare separate ranked lists for each revenue district. The ranked list will remain valid for a minimum period of one year and may continue up to three years or until a new list is published, whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised not only against the notified vacancies but also against future vacancies reported during the currency of the ranked list. If no candidate is advised within three years, the list may be extended for one additional year or until at least one candidate is appointed.
The selection process is strictly revenue district-based as per GO(MS) No. 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. A candidate appointed in one district cannot request transfer to another district before completing five years of continuous service. Even after five years, transfers are subject to GO(P) No. 36/91/P&ARD dated 02.12.1991. Candidates already working as Tracer in any district under Kerala Government service are not eligible to apply again for the same post but may apply for higher posts when notified.
Additionally, 4% of the total vacancies are reserved for eligible differently abled candidates as per G.O (P) No. 05/2023/SJD dated 01.10.2023, in accordance with Kerala Government reservation rules.
