Kerala PSC Tradesman (Civil) Eligibility Criteria 2025 – Age, Qualification

1. Method of Appointment

• Direct Recruitment.

2. Age Limit

• 18 – 36 years. Candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included) are eligible.
• Usual age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per rules.
• Officers of the Technical Education Department are eligible for relaxation up to 10 years of service, subject to a maximum age of 50 years.

3. Educational Qualifications

• A pass in Technical High School Leaving Certificate Examination with specialization in the appropriate trade.
  OR
• (i) Pass in SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) Examination or equivalent.
• (ii) Any one of the following:

• • National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the appropriate Trade

  • Kerala Government Certificate in Engineering Examination in the appropriate Trade

  • Vocational Higher Secondary Certificate Course in the appropriate Trade

Note:

• Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II KS & SSR is applicable.
• Candidates claiming equivalent qualifications must produce a valid Government Order/Equivalency Certificate during certificate verification.
• Degrees/Diplomas from UGC approved universities or institutions established by Parliament/State Legislature are acceptable.

Kerala PSC Tradesman (Civil) Vacancy 2025

The Kerala Public Service Commission has notified 07 (Seven) vacancies for the post of Tradesman (Civil) in the Technical Education Department.

The ranked list published in response to this notification will remain valid for a minimum of one year and a maximum of three years. It will continue to be in force until a new list is published after one year, or up to three years—whichever is earlier.

During this period, candidates will be advised for appointment against the 07 notified vacancies as well as any additional vacancies that may be reported to the Commission.

As per GO(P) No. 5/2023/SJD dated 01/10/2023, 4% of the reported vacancies are reserved for eligible Differently Abled candidates in line with the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (Section 34).

Selected candidates for Tradesman (Civil) will be on probation for 2 years within a continuous period of 3 years from the date of joining. Confirmation in service is subject to successful completion of this probation.

• Candidates must apply online through the Kerala PSC official website – www.keralapsc.gov.in – after completing One Time Registration (OTR) on the PSC Thulasi portal.
• Already registered candidates can log in using their User ID & Password and click “Apply Now” against the post in the notification.
• A recent photograph (taken within 6 months) with the candidate’s name and date printed at the bottom must be uploaded. Once uploaded correctly, it will be valid for 10 years.
