Kerala Public Service Commission has released notification regarding recruitment of Veterinary Surgeon Grade II in Animal Husbandry department. The advertisement (CATEGORY NO : 204/2022) is available in the official website – keralapsc.gov.in. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the same from candidates of Scheduled Tribe community of Kerala state. Applications can be submitted until Wednesday, 20th July 2022 up to 12.00 midnight. An exam will be conducted to select eligible candidates from among all the applicants. The date of exam will be announced once the application process is completed.

Kerala PSC Veterinary Surgeon Grade II Eligibility Criteria
Candidates aspiring to become a Veterinary Surgeon in Animal Husbandry department under the Kerala government are required to have the following qualifications:
- A degree in Veterinary Science
- Registration with the Kerala State Veterinary Council as envisaged in the Indian Veterinary Council Act., 1984 (Central Act of 52 of 1984)
- Working knowledge in Malayalam
Note: People belonging to Linguistic Minorities in the state of Kerala will be exempted from having a working knowledge in Malayalam. However they should pass the language test in Malayalam as provided
in Rule 10 of Part II of the Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1958.

Kerala PSC Veterinary Surgeon Grade II Selection Process
A written exam will be conducted for the recruitment of Veterinary Surgeon Grade II. The exam will be of objective type questions. There will be a total of 100 questions and the duration of the paper will one hour and fifteen minutes. The medium of the paper will be English. The written exam will consist of two parts:
- Part I: Questions based on topics from veterinary science
- Part II: Questions based on working knowledge in Malayalam

While filling the One Time Registration Profile, candidates should submit a confirmation for writing the examination. Only those candidates can generate and download the Admission Tickets which will be released around fifteen days before the exam. The periods regarding the submission of confirmation and the availability of Admission Tickets will be published in the Examination Calendar itself.
Once the Rank List of the exam is published, shortlisted candidates may be called for a interview.

Training
On being appointed as Veterinary Surgeon Gr II, candidates shall undergo within the period of probation , the training course conducted by the Animal Husbandry Department and the period of such training shall be treated as duty for the purpose of probation. Persons in the Animal Husbandry Subordinate Service who have worked as Livestock Assistants for a period of not less than five years and personnel released from the army who are appointed in reserved vacancies will be exempted from undergoing the training. Persons who have undergone the Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry course with an inbuilt program of internship training conducted by the Kerala Agriculture University or any other
Agricultural University shall also be exempted from undergoing the training.
Documents Required
- Certificates to prove Educational qualification. Those who claim equivalent qualifications instead of qualification mentioned in the Notification shall produce the relevant Government Order
to prove the equivalency at the time of verification, then only such qualification shall be treated as equivalent to the prescribed qualification concerned. - Certificates as proof of age
- Caste Certificate. In the case of difference in original Caste/ Community claimed in the
application and that entered in SSLC book, the candidate shall produce a Gazette Notification in this regard, along with Community Certificate at the time of Certificate Verification. - Personal ID card – Aadhar card, PAN card, Driving license( any one)
Candidates shall appear in person for verification of the original documents on the date, time, and venue allotted by the Commission, at their own expense.
