PNB Recruitment 2022: Selection Process
Depending on the number of applications received, the Bank will, at its discretion, decide on the method of selection for both the fire safety officer and the security manager.

Scenario 1. Shortlisting of applications followed by Interview:
The personal interview will be conducted by the bank in the following manner:
I. All applicants who have been found eligible during the review of applications and submitted documents will be directly invited for an interview.
II. Candidates will be provisionally selected for issuing an offer of appointment on the basis of scores obtained by them in the Interview. A candidate should qualify in the interview and be high in the merit to be shortlisted for subsequent provisional appointments.

Scenario 2. Written / Online Test followed by Interview:
In case the bank decides to conduct an online test, it will be the following:

Penalty for wrong answers:
- For each question for which an incorrect answer has been given by the aspirant one fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty to arrive at a corrected score.
I.Aspirants have to qualify for the Written/Online Test. Cut-off in the online written test shall be decided by the Punjab National Bank.
II.Aspirants who obtain minimum qualifying marks as decided by the Punjab National Bank in the Online Written Test will be considered for shortlisting for Interview on the basis of merit prepared as per marks obtained by them in the Online Written Test, provided they fulfill the other eligibility criteria with regard to Educational qualification and Post qualification work experience for the respective post.
III. Aspirants will be provisionally selected for issuing an offer of appointment on the basis of aggregate scores obtained by them in Online Written tests and interviews. The applicant should qualify both in the Online Written Test as well as in the interview and be high in the merit to be shortlisted for subsequent provisional appointment.
Common guidelines for both Scenario 1 and Scenario 2:
Personal Interview will be of 50 marks. Minimum qualifying marks in interview shall be 45% i.e. 22.50 for SC/ST candidates & 50% i.e. 25 for other candidates.
General Instructions
1. An applicant may apply for only one job and no applicant may submit more than one application. In case of multiple applications, only one application will be retained and the application fee/notice fees paid for other applications will be forfeited.
2. Before submitting the application, the applicant should ensure that he meets the eligibility and other standards mentioned in this advertisement. Applications submitted will not be subject to withdrawal and the application fee/intimation fee once paid will not be refunded or held in reserve for any other examination.
3.The Bank may reject any application at any stage of the recruitment process if the candidate is found to be unfit for the position applied for. The decision of the Bank regarding eligibility of candidates, stage at which verification of eligibility, qualifications and other eligibility norms is to be conducted, documents to be submitted etc. and any other matters relating to recruitment shall be final and binding on the candidate. The Bank does not handle any correspondence or personal inquiries in this regard. In case of detection of deficiencies even after agreement with him, his services may be terminated.
4. Current, recognizable color passport size photograph which should be affixed firmly on the application form and duly signed by the applicant. Candidates are advised not to change their appearance until the recruitment process is completed. Failure to take the same photograph at the time of online test and/or interview may lead to disqualification. The candidate should ensure that the signatures he affixes at all places i.e. in his invitation letter, attendance sheet etc. and in all future correspondence with the bank should be identical and there should be no deviation. APPLICATION FEE SC/ST/PWBD category candidates Rs. 59/- [Rs.50 per candidate (Intimation charges only) + GST@18% Rs. 9/-] All other candidates Rs.1003/- [Rs. 850 per candidate + GST@18% Rs. 153/-]
5. The following items are not permitted in the test center:
(a) Any stationery item such as text material (printed or written), pieces of paper, geometry/pencil box,
(b) Plastic case, calculator, scale, writing pad, pen, record sheet, electronic pen/scanner, etc.
(c)Any Communication Device like Bluetooth, Headphone, Microphone, Pager, Medical Belt etc.- (Candidate must have Aarogya Setu App installed on his mobile phone. Aarogya Setu Status must show candidate’s risk factor. Candidate will have to display This Status will hand over to the security guard on entering the examination venue.After displaying the status of the Aarogya Set at the entry gate, candidates will be asked to switch off their mobile phones and store them in the designated area for collection on exit).
(d) Other items such as glasses, handbags, hairpins, hair ties, belts, hats, etc.
(e) All ornaments like Ring, Earrings, Nose-pin, Chain/Necklace, Pendants, Badge, brooch etc. should be thoroughly checked.
(f) Any watch/Wrist Watch, Camera, etc.
(g)Any metal object
(h) Any open or wrapped eatable item
(i) Any other item that could be used for dishonest means to hide communication devices such as camera, blue tooth device, etc.
Any breach of these guidelines will result in cancellation of candidature and disciplinary action including barring from future examinations and police complaints. Candidates are advised in their own interest not to bring any of the prohibited items to the examination venue, as it is not possible to ensure their safekeeping. The Bank, IBPS or any agency involved in conducting the online examination shall not be held responsible for the loss of any item. The responsibility for their safekeeping rests with the candidates, either free of charge or free of charge.
6. The possibility of a problem in the administration of the examination that may affect the delivery of the test and/or the result of its generation cannot be completely excluded. In such an event, every effort will be made to correct such a problem, which may include carrying out further examination if deemed necessary.
7. Competent authority for issuing caste/handicapped certificates is defined below. Certificates issued only by such competent authorities authorized to issue caste/disability certificates will be acceptable
