RRB ASM Eligibility Criteria – Age Limit, Qualifications

Last year, almost 50000+ vacancies will be announced for several posts and the applicants were selected through Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by Skill Test (Computer-based Aptitude Test for Station Master and Assistant). After that, there will be document verification and medical examination for the selected candidates. The RRB Assistant Station Master post would be one of the largest recruitment exams. Nationality

• A candidate must be either:

1. a citizen of India, or
2. a subject of Nepal, or
3. a subject of Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, etc.

Age Limit

• The candidates must be minimum of 18 years old as on notification date and the age must not exceed 32 years.
• The maximum age limit is relaxable for the candidates belonging to the special categories like OBC, ex-servicemen, SC/ST, PWD, etc.

Educational Qualification

• The candidate must hold a graduation degree in any discipline obtained from any recognized board or University.
• A diploma in Rail Transport & Management, Transport Economics, Multimodal Transport (Containerization ) awarded by the Institute of Rail Transport, Rail Bhawan, New Delhi will be an additional desirable qualification for the candidate.

Medical Standards

Physical measurement is an important part of the eligibility of the Assistant Station Master.  The candidate should be physically fit in all respects. During the medical test, the candidates must pass the test for binocular vision, color vision, night vision, and the field of vision. The other visual standards are mentioned below.
