RRB Group D Vacancy 2025: Apply Online for 32,428 Vacancies

The expected RRB Group D Vacancy 2024-25 has been announced zonal-wise by Railway Recruitment Board. This year, 32438 vacancies are expected for Pointsman, Assistant, Track Maintainer, Assistant Loco Shed, Assistant Operations, Assistant Operations, and Assistant TL & AC posts. The maximum vacancies, 13187 are announced for Track Maintainer Gr. IV posts. 

RRB Group D Recruitment 2025: Eligibility Criteria

In order to apply for Group D positions under the Indian Railways, a candidate must meet the certain eligibility criterias in terms of nationality, educational qualification, age limit, and medical standards. You are required to go through the listed points to check that you are eligible to apply or not.

1. Nationality:
   • Indian Citizen, or
   • Nepal/Bhutan citizen, or
   • Tibetan refugee (settled in India before 1962), or
   • Person of Indian origin from certain countries.
2. Educational Qualification:
   • Matriculation from a school recognised by the State or Central board
   • Additionally, hold a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) from an institution recognized by the NCVT/SCVT.
3. Age Limit:
   • 18 to 33 years
   • Relaxations:
     • OBC: 3 years
     • SC/ST: 5 years
     • Ex-Servicemen: 10 years (after service deduction)
     • PwD: 10 years (15 years for SC/ST, 13 years for OBC)
4. Medical Standards:
   • Vision:
     • 6/9 in both eyes (without glasses).
     • Near vision: Sn. 0.6, 0.6.
   • Physical Standards (for specific posts like Track Maintainer):
     • Height: 163 cm (male), 152 cm (female).
     • Chest: 79 cm (unexpanded), 84 cm (expanded) for males.

RRB Group D Notification 2025 Out

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRBs) has released a short notification (CEN 08/2024) for RRB Group D Level 1 Recruitment on 23rd December 2024 through employment newspaper. RRB will be recruiting huge number of vacancies i.e. 32438 for the Level 1 posts of Pointsman, Assistant, Track Maintainer, Assistant Loco Shed, Assistant Operations, Assistant Operations, and Assistant TL & AC through three stages selection process- CBT, PET, and Medical/Document Verification. Railway Group D Recruitment 2025 Selection Process

The selection process for RRB Group D Recruitment 2025 involves multiple stages:

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT)
   
   • The CBT will test candidates on subjects like General Awareness, Mathematics, General Science, and Reasoning.
   • Duration: 90 minutes.
   • Negative marking: 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
   
   • Candidates who qualify the CBT will be called for the PET.
   • The test includes physical tasks such as running and lifting weights.
3. Document Verification
   
   • Shortlisted candidates must produce original documents for verification.
4. Medical Examination
   
   • Candidates must pass the medical fitness test as per railway standards.
