RRB Group D Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2022

This section will provide you with RRB Group D Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2022.

RRC Group D Syllabus 2022

It is important for the aspirants to check the RRC Group D Syllabus 2022 thoroughly before starting with the preparation. RRC Group D Syllabus consists of CBT 1 for a total of four subjects: General Awareness, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science, and Mathematics.

RRC Group D Syllabus 2022 for Mathematics

The questions under the Mathematics section analyze the candidate’s calculative skills. The basic questions in the Math section are asked from class 10 standards. The table given below has information regarding RRC Group D Syllabus 2022 for Quantitative Aptitude:

Ratio and Proportion Componendo or Dividend, Third Proportional, Age, Mean Proportional, Simple Ratios, Compound Ratios, Fourth Proportional, Direct or Indirect Proportion, etc.

Time and Work Pipes & Cistern  and Work & Wages, based questions
Mensuration Tetrahedron, Pyramid, Cube, Cuboids, Sphere, Right Prism, Cylinder.
Speed Time and Distance Partial Speed, Relative Speed, Boat, and River, Problem on Trains, Average Speed
Interest Compound Interest, Combined problems on SI & CI, and Simple Interest
Profit and Loss Successive Selling, Partnership
Number Series Finding the Missing Term, Problems on Completing the Series, Finding the Wrong Term.
Geometry Basic Questions on different types of Quadrilaterals. and Co-ordinate Geometry. Basic problems on Triangles, Congruence & Similarity. Theorems on Segments, Tangents & Chords.
Trigonometry Max and Min value, Heights and Distances, Circular Measure of Angles, Identities, Functions
Probability basic problems on probability.

Syllabus for General Intelligence & Reasoning

The questions under the General Intelligence & Reasoning section test the aspirant’s understanding and knowledge of logical reasoning. The table below shows the important topics of General Intelligence & Reasoning.

Blood Relation Coded blood-related & General blood relation problems, Family tree problems.
Alphabet & Word Test New word by adding Suffix, Jumble words (Find odd one), Unjumble words, Matrix, Word formation (New word formed, Word cannot be formed) New word by adding a prefix.
Venn Diagram Syllogism, Venn diagram problem, Logical Venn Diagram.
Missing Number Matrix and diagram problems.
Non-Verbal Reasoning Paper Folding and Cutting, Mirror Image, Hidden Image, Completion of Incomplete Pattern, Cubes and Dice (Construction of Boxes, Problems on Dice),  Missing Term, Counting Figures.
Verbal Reasoning Arguments, Assertion and Reason, Statements, and Course of Action.
Classification Number based, Letter based, General knowledge-based, Image-Based, Letter and number based, Meaning based,

Syllabus for General Science

The questions under General Science are generally taken from physics, chemistry, and Life Sciences of the Class 10 level of CBSE.

 Syllabus for General Awareness

The RRC Group D Syllabus General Awareness is given in the following table:

Geography Wildlife Centuries, topics coming under Indian Geography, National Park & Centuries

Polity  Government Portfolios, Indian constitution, etc.
Economics Economic Organizations, World Economy, Business, Indian Economy, Economic Theory, etc.
Miscellaneous Topics Awards and Honors, Science & Technology, Books and Authors, Sports, Environment, Art and Culture, Places in News, Physics, Biology, Environment, Chemistry, Banking Awareness,  etc.

RRC Group D Exam Pattern 2022

As per the RRC Group D Syllabus, questions are asked from each section mentioned above. Go through the table below to know the number of questions that will be asked from each section.

RRC Group D Exam Pattern

As per the notification, the RRC Group D Exam consists of  four stages:

  • Computer-Based Test (CBT1 ).
  • Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
  • Document Verification.
  • Medical Examination.

Candidates have to clear all the four stages to secure a Railway job.

RRC Group D Computer-Based Test (CBT 1)

All the candidates who want to appear for the exam must check the Railway Group D Exam Pattern. Candidates must qualify in the computer-based exam to get select for the next stage of the exam.

  • The computer-based exam consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
  • There are a total of 100 questions in the exam, each question consisting of 1 mark.
  • The question paper will be conducted in 15 languages, candidates can give an exam in their regional language.
  • The total time duration of the exam is 90 minutes and it is 120 minutes for PWD candidates.
  • 1/3 mark will be reduced if the answer is found to be wrong.

Physical Efficiency Test

Physical Efficiency Test (PET), which is the second stage of the exam is qualifying in nature.  Candidates who will get qualified in the computer-based test are called for the PET. Go through the table below to know the criteria for the physical efficiency test.

The candidate must be able to lift and carry the weight of 20 Kg for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one chance without dropping or keeping the weight down The candidate must be able to lift and carry a weight of 35 kg for a distance of  100 meters in 2 minutes in only one chance without dropping or keeping the weight down
Should be able to run 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in 1 chance Should be able to run 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in 1 chance

RRC Group D Document Verification (DV) of Candidates

Based on the performance of candidates in the CBT and physical efficiency test, candidates will be called for the document verification process.

  • Shortlisted candidates need to produce a NOC from the employer on the day of final selection.
  • All the documents should have an identical signature of the candidate, either in English or Hindi.
  • The signature on the 10th official certificate should also match the candidate’s signature.
  • The final selection of the candidates will be based on CBT, PET, and Document Verification.

It may also be noted that all candidates who successfully go through DV are sent for Medical Examination. The candidates will have to pass the Medical Exam conducted by the RRB to get the job.
