In SSC CGL recruitment, the Tier-4 is a computer skill test. For the posts under the Ministry of Mines and the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, this skill test is compulsory and of qualifying nature. SSC CGL 2018 Skill Test is scheduled for December 2020, and the admit cards are now available in the SSC websites.

SSC CGL 2018 Skill Test Admit Card
The SSC CGL skill test has two sections: Data Entry Speed Test (DEST) and Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)
- DEST- Candidates are required to type 2000 words in 15 minutes on a computer in English.
- CPT- It is to check the candidate’s proficiency in Word Processing, Spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations, etc.
The commission will conduct the skill test for posts like:
- Assistant Section Officer (CSS),
- Assistant Section Officer (MEA)
- Inspector (Examiner)
- Assistant in Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) under M/o Corporate Affairs,
- Inspector (Central Excise)
- Inspector (Preventive Officer)
- Assistant (GSI) in Ministry of Mines
- Tax Assistant (Central Excise & Income Tax)
This Skill Test/ Typing Test will be of qualifying nature, and no candidate is exempted from appearing in the Skill Test. Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2018 (Skill Test) is scheduled on December 18 and 19, 2020. Candidates can download the SSC CGL 2018 Skill Test Admit Cards from their respective regional websites, using their login credentials (available in your email inbox) from December 06, 2020, onwards.
