The Staff Selection Commission is expected to release a large number of openings to the post of Multi Tasking Staff(MTS) in the non-technical category for the year 2024. SSC MTS Salary 2024
1: In a certain code language, ‘ROK’ is written as ‘44’ and ‘MIG’ is written as ‘29’. What will be the code for ‘TAL’ in that code language?
Selected candidates can withdraw salary on the pay scale -1 (Rs.5200-20200) + Grade Pay Rs.1800. Including different allowances and basic pay, MTS can withdraw salary between Rs. 18,000 and Rs.22,000, depending upon the department and the place of posting.
Other than the basic salary, all the selected applicants will enjoy many other benefits of a Government employee. Some of them are listed here:
- The House Rent Allowances (HRA) for X, Y & Z category cities is Rs. 4320, Rs. 2880 and Rs.1440 respectively. Cities in Kerala are categorized as Y- category cities, (Kochi, Kottayam, Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode, Thrissur etc.).
- Selected candidates will get Dearness Allowances(DA), Travel Allowances(TA) etc.
- From the Gross Salary (Rs.23670, Rs. 21780 & Rs. 20340)National Pension System(NPS), Central Government Health Scheme allowances etc. will get deducted.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Non-clerical works.
- The routine office works.
- Computer assistance.
- General Cleaning duties along with up keeping of Section/units.
- Physical maintenance of records.
- Photocopying of documents and sending fax etc.
- Assisting Routine dispatch, diary works.
- Those with ITI qualification may have related responsibilities.
- Delivering dak, both inside and outside of the office.
- Those who have a valid driving license may have driving duties.
- Cleaning, opening, and closing of office rooms.
- Watch and ward duties.
- Maintenance of lawns.
- Any work assigned by the superior authority is also the responsibility of the employee.
All of the selected candidates who begin their career as Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) will have the previlage to grow their careers exponentially. This will be usually as follows:
- MTS will get their first promotion after 3 years of service with grade pay of Rs. 1900
- The second promotion of MTS will be after 6 years with grade pay of Rs. 2000 and so on.

- Education Qualification: The candidates must have passed the Matriculation/ SSLC Examination or the equivalent from a recognized Board.
