- Order of studies: the UG and PG degree must be obtained in the order SSLC + HSC / Diploma or equivalent + UG degree + PG degree.
- Experience after qualification: the period of experience must have been gained after obtaining the educational qualification required for the post.
- Date of qualification: you must hold the qualification, technical qualification and experience on the date of notification.
- Results not yet issued: if the certificate was not issued before the notification date, upload proof that the results were published on or before that date (provisional certificate, consolidated mark sheet or a certificate from the Head of the Institution in the prescribed format).
- Higher qualification: if you claim a qualification higher than the one required, upload certificates issued on or before the notification date.
- Equivalence: if you are claiming equivalence of a qualification, upload a copy of the Government Order on or before certificate verification (the G.O.s are on www.tnsche.tn.gov.in).
- Mismatch: any discrepancy between your claim and the uploaded documents, in a course duration or experience claim, results in rejection after due process.
- Experience certificate: upload it in the prescribed format (Annexure V). A committee formed by the concerned Head of Department verifies it during onscreen verification, and its decision is final.
- Lost certificate: an extract from the Convocation Register will be accepted.
TNPSC CTSE Interview Posts Eligibility Criteria 2026: Knowledge of Tamil
Every candidate should have adequate knowledge of Tamil on the date of the notification. You are deemed to have it if you have:
- passed SSLC / HSC / Degree with Tamil as one of the languages, or
- studied the high school course in Tamil medium, or passed SSLC or equivalent in Tamil medium, or
- passed the Second Class Language Test (Full Test) in Tamil conducted by TNPSC.
Upload the mark sheet or the language test pass proof with your application. If you fail to upload this proof, you must pass the Second Class Language Test (Full Test) in Tamil within two years of appointment, or you will be discharged from service.
This two-year relaxation does not apply to Veterinary Assistant Surgeon, Research Assistant, Port Officer and System Analyst.
TNPSC CTSE Eligibility Criteria 2026: Medical and Physical Standards
- Physical fitness: selected candidates must submit a physical fitness certificate to the appointing authority at the time of joining.

- Senior Entomologist, Assistant Director of Textiles and Manager (Accounts): upload the eye fitness certificate from a Government Hospital ophthalmologist in Tamil Nadu in the prescribed format at the time of applying. Without it, the application will not be considered.
- Port Officer: produce a sight test certificate (form vision only) issued by the Mercantile Marine Department of the Government of India or a DG Shipping approved doctor, in the prescribed format.
TNPSC CTSE Interview Posts 2026 Eligibility Criteria Restrictions: Who Cannot Apply?
Government service of 5 years or more
Candidates not belonging to SC, SC(A), ST, MBC/DC, BC(OBCM) and BCM who have completed 5 years or more of service since their first appointment to a service of the Government of India or a State / Union Territory Government are not eligible, even if they are within the age limit. This does not apply to posts requiring experience.
Religion condition for Regional Sthapathi
Only persons professing the Hindu religion are eligible for the post of Regional Sthapathi (Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments). Upload a Community Certificate or a certificate from the Revenue Authorities in support of the religion claimed.
Persons with Benchmark Disability
Persons with benchmark disabilities are not eligible for these posts: Assistant Director of Statistics, Regional Sthapathi, Senior Entomologist, Assistant General Manager (Finance), Assistant Manager (General), Assistant Manager, Assistant Manager (Finance), AGM (Projects) (all three), Assistant Secretary, Accounts Officer, Port Officer, Psychologist, Deputy Manager (Instrumental), Deputy Manager (Safety), Unit Head – DGM Cadre, Financial Advisor cum Company Secretary and System Analyst.
