Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET) is organized by the Central Board of School Education (CBSE) to select eligible teachers towards the education sector in the Country. CTET helps the schools to select the finest minds towards their service. After successfully passed the CTET candidates will be eligible to work as the teachers all over the country for the next 07 years. Successful candidates can expect a hike in their salary. CTET Salary can be as higher as Rs. 45000 for eligible candidates in the government sector after the 07th CPC. CTET is necessary for applying in the teaching jobs in the government sector.

CTET Salary Structure 2022

The CTET Certificate stands as entirely valid for a teaching job for the lifetime. The salary earned by the teachers post-qualifying this exam include:

  • Teachers who pass the CTET (Central Teachers Eligibility Test) and get a job as Post-Graduate Teacher (PGT), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT), or Primary Teacher (PRT)
  • They receive an excellent salary along with allowances and perks.
  • The pay scale of CTET qualified teachers is between Rs. 9,300 to Rs. 34,800 as the basic pay.
  • Their net in-hand salary can go up to Rs. 48,000 per month.

Salary Structure and Pay scale for CTET In-Hand After 7th Pay Commission

A fictitious PRT, TGT, and PGT teacher with a CTET pass can have their compensation structure slip created. The base wage, pay scale, grade pay stipends, and in-hand payment are all included. The pay that KVS and NVS instructors get must be taken into consideration. The pay scale is based on the position, a teacher’s qualifications, the management of the school, and professional experience.

Benefits and Allowances

CTET passed teachers at all levels get several allowances like

  • TA (Transport Allowance)
  • HRA (House Rent Allowance)
  • Increment (once a year)
  • Others

Education Qualification for Elementary Teachers for Classes VI-VIII

  • Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
    OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education
    OR
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education
    (B. Ed), in accordance with the NCTE
    OR
  • Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year
    of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).
    OR
  • Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year
    of 4- year B.A/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed.
    OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)*.
    OR
  • Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. The programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to
    appear in TET/ CTET.

CTET has two papers;

  • Paper- I:  For those intents to be a teacher for classes I to V.
  •  Paper-II:  For those intents who intents to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.

CTET Pay Scale, Benefits and Allowances for Trained Graduate Teacher

The aspiring teachers interested in teaching Class 1 to 5 are required to appear for CTET Paper 1, and the aspiring teachers who are interested in teaching Class 6 to 8 are required to appear for CTET Paper 2. The pay scale enjoyed by the teachers is provided below:
