1. Child Development and Pedagogy (30 Questions)

CTET Syllabus 2026 for Paper 2 (Elementary Stage: Classes VI–VIII)

1. Child Development and Pedagogy (30 Questions)

Same broad framework as Paper 1, adapted for the 11–14 age group — development theories, inclusive education, diverse learners, motivation, and classroom learning processes.

2. Language I and Language II (30 Questions each)

Same structure as in Paper 1 — one paper tied to the medium of instruction, the other testing broader comprehension and pedagogy.

3. Mathematics and Science (60 Questions — for Maths/Science teachers)

Mathematics topics (30 Qs): Number system, algebra, ratio and proportion, geometry, mensuration, data handling, and pedagogical issues (nature of mathematics, problem-solving, place of mathematics in curriculum, community mathematics, evaluation, error analysis, remedial teaching)
