Know the Syllabus and Pattern

It is absolutely essential before attempting an exam to know the syllabus and exam pattern. There are various benefits to this that includes helping you formulate a study plan and plan out your time to utilize before the exam. Click here to view the JEE Main Exam Pattern and Syllabus. It will be advantageous to you. You can focus on the subjects that are essential this way. Knowing the pattern will help you prioritize as you can decide on the section you need to focus on more than the others.

Take a Mock Test ASAP

This is very important as it will provide useful information to you. It will give you an overview of your strengths and weaknesses. This will be useful to you in various aspects. One of the aspects is the fact that this information will help you prepare your study plan according to your strengths and weaknesses. This will be addressed in the next section. Mock Tests have other uses. It will help improve your time management and help you identify topics to allocate more time to. It will also tell you where time shouldn’t be utilized. Since you only have only one month, it is advisable to allocate time in the exam to easier topics but that will be addressed soon enough. So read on!

Prepare a Study Plan

Since you only have a month left, it is advisable to prepare a comprehensive, detailed study plan addressing most topics. Identify complex and lengthy topics which would waste your time and set them aside. Move on to the easy and the relatively lesser time consuming topics, even if they are hard. Start by studying and solving questions of these topics. Once you are comfortable with them, move on to the complex topics but if it seems too hard, it is OK to let go. Don’t waste time where any amount of preparation will be futile. Make sure you focus on the topics where the amount of marks allotted is relatively larger. This will ensure that your preparation will bear fruit. Click here for a good study plan.

Dedicate your time fully to Preparation

One month to prepare for one of the most competitive exams in India is an uphill task. To pull it off, you will need to set aside your entertainment and put the pedal to the metal. It will be an arduous task but certainly not impossible. So, trust the process and dedicate yourself completely to preparation. If you do so, you will do very well and exceed expectations by securing a good rank.

Learn to Manage Time Effectively

Time Management is one of the most important aspects of your preparation. The best way to do so is by practicing constantly. This includes everything from       Mock Tests to topic tests. This will improve your speed and accuracy which will allow you to attempt more questions and/or allocate more time to certain tricky and complex questions. However, if you are stuck at a question and don’t see way around it, skip it. It would be folly to waste time and possible extra marks by getting held up at one question. If you read a question and can’t figure it out in 10 seconds, skip it. If you feel like a question will take more than a minute, skip it. But don’t take these as benchmarks, instead take these as guidelines. Set your own standards.

Practice all the Mock Tests you can

The best way you can gain experience and real exam-like conditions is if you attempt a lot of Mock Tests. It can help you a lot including time management, study plan formulation and much more. So don’t waste any more time and take a mock test as soon as possible. Also, do it regularly.

This doesn’t mean you have to go out and play for hours at an end. Instead, wake up early and go for a jog or stretch at home. Keep your body at a functional capacity. This will be sufficient and it can enhance the quality of your preparation.

Conclusion

If you implement the advice and tips given here into your preparation, you can rise out on top. But you must practice diligently as that will make or break your hopes at a good rank.
