Every year Kerala PSC conducts hundreds of objective tests using OMR answer sheets, and lakhs of aspirants use them. Unfortunately, a few of them made some mistakes which costs them the whole test. Let’s check some of the instructions which the candidates should keep in mind while filling their OMR answer sheets.

Kerala PSC OMR Sheet
While appearing for any PSC test, examinees should settle in their seats allotted in the test centre 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam. Inside the test hall, the only materials allowed are the hall ticket, identification certificate, ball-point pen with black or blue ink and a writing board. Before handling out the question paper, the invigilator will give wive an OMR sheet to all candidates which can be evaluated using an Optical Mark Reader (OMR). Other than any printing or manufacturing defects, no candidates get the Fresh OMR sheets or the question booklets. So while handling the OMR Sheets, avoid perforation, dampening or soiling of the answer sheet. For more details on how to use the OMR answer sheet, try to read the instructions on the reverse of the sheet. In the centre of the OMR answer sheet, there will be a barcode and make sure that you are not tampering the same. If that barcode gets any sort of damage then the answer sheet will be invalidated.

OMR PRACTICE BOOK FOE KERALA PSC
The OMR sheet will have two parts: Part A, and Part B. The Part A of the OMR sheet is to fill up the examinee’s personal details like register number, date of birth, name of post and date of the test. The Part B of the OMR sheet is for marking the answers. In the space given in Part A for the register number, candidate’s should write their registration number in the boxes and fully darken the corresponding bubbles. If the test is a common test for two or more posts, then write the registration numbers and darken the bubbles as directed above in separate columns provided for the same. As the candidates fill out the details of their date of birth, write the date of birth in the given boxes and fully darken the corresponding bubbles. While filling the Part A of the OMR sheet, avoid all sorts of mistakes. Any mistakes in entries in Part A of the OMR sheet will lead to invalidation, and the commission won’t spare a fresh OMR sheet for these errors.

Each of the question booklets will have an alpha code (A/ B/ C/ D). In Part B, of the OMR answer sheet in the column provided, darken completely the bubble corresponding to the alpha code of the question the booklet the examinee received. The answer sheet will be invalidated, and get rejected if the alpha code bubble is not darkened or partially darkened, and the commission won’t be responsible for any such errors. While marking the answers in Part B also, makes sure to darken the bubbles completely, the OMR reader won’t detect partially filled bubbles. If the examinee marks more than one answer or marks’s the alterations after marking an answer will result in negative marks.
