SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2024
SSC has its own set of criteria that need to be fulfilled by the candidates to be eligible to apply online for the examination. SSC CGL eligibility criteria are based on three parameters: age, educational qualification, and nationality.
Age Limit
The candidate’s age needed to be between 18 and 32 years. Relaxation in age is applicable for the candidates coming under specific categories. The details are as follows:

Nationality
A candidate must be either:
- a citizen of India, or
- a subject of Nepal, or
- a subject of Bhutan, or
- a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st of January 1962 to permanently settle in India, or
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam intending to permanently settle in India.

How to Apply for SSC CGL 2024
- Login to your SSC online applications with provided Registration Number and password. Click Here
- On the latest tab, you can see “Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) “.
- Beneath the CGL tab, you can see the “Apply” tab. Connect on the same.
- On the new tab, you can see your primary elements like name, DOB, Matriculation Details, etc, review whether the facts requires any edit. On the same page, candidates can select three examination centres of their choice, EWS, and Ex-servicemen status.
- Applicants should enter their education qualification and whether they are applying for the Junior Statistical Officer position or not. Since the JSO required specific education qualifications.
- Once you are completed with the application form, check the declaration given at the end of the page and click on the “Preview” button, and verify all the details given in the form and click on the “Submit” button.
- For unreserved male prospects, the SSC CGL application fee is Rs. 100/ and should be delivered via online mode. Applicants can select any credit cards, debit cards, BHIM UPI or NET banking ways to pay the application fee.
- Your SSC CGL 2024 Application will get provisionally received by the commission, once you complete the application fee stage (if required).

SSC CGL: Window for Application Form Correction
- As per the notification, after the closing date for the submission of the online application, the Commission will provide a period of 5 days to correct online application form, wherein candidates can re-submit applications after correcting the application requirements
- A candidate will be allowed to correct and re-submit the corrected application two times during the ‘Window for Application Form Correction’. No more corrections in the application form will be allowed under any circumstances.
- Only those ,whose online application submission is completed along-with payment of requisite fee candidates, will be allowed to make corrections in the application form
- Latest modified application will be considered as valid
- The previous application(s) submitted by such candidates will be ignored immediately .
- The Commission imposes a uniform correction charge of ₹ 200/- for making correction
- re-submitting modified/ corrected application for the first time will cost ₹ 500/- for the second time.
- The correction charges will be applicable to all candidates irrespective of their gender/ categories.
- The correction charges can be paid only by online mode through BHIM UPI, Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards.
- The correction charges once paid shall not be refunded
- candidates must check that they have filled correct details in each field of the form before submission of the corrected application.
- After expiry of ‘Window for Application Form Correction’, no change/ correction/ modification will be allowed.

- Candidates must not write any personal identity e.g. name, roll number, mobile number, address, etc inside the Answer Book (Tier-III).
Tier-IV (Skill Test)
- In the Tier-IV, Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) andData Entry Speed Test (DEST) will be conducted.
