Kerala PSC LDC 2022
The notification for the LDC was released in April 2021. The Lower Division Clerk post is redesignated as Clerk as per G.O (Ms.) No. 120/2013/(138)/Fin.dated 04.03.2013. This direct recruitment needs a Pass in SSLC Examination or any other equivalent qualification. And most importantly the salary scale is the real attraction. The scale of pay is Rs. 19000-43600/-.
The candidate’s age limit should be between 18-36, that is, only candidates born between 02.01.1983 and 01.01.2001 (both dates included).
The number of vacancies is not estimated. This district wise exam fill vacancies of the integrated post of Lower Division Clerk/ Village Assistant in the Revenue Department. And, vacancies of Lower Division Clerk in Kerala Municipal Common Service.

LDC Exam Pattern
The exam will be out of 100 with 100 questions. The time duration will be 75 minutes and will have a penalty of 1/3rd mark for each wrong answer.
- General Knowledge / Current Affairs – 50 Marks
- General English – 20 Marks
- Quantitative Aptitude (Simple Arithmetic) and Mental Ability & Logical Reasoning – 20 Marks
- General Malayalam/ Tamil / Kannada (Regional Language) – 10 Marks
This pattern will be followed by the Commission. Now, the candidate should go through the detailed syllabus. Understand the topics and if possible mark the topics which you are familiar.
The preparation criteria start with the time you can schedule for the study. A minimum of 3 hours of study is mandatory. You should cover the General Awareness/ Current Affairs, Maths, Reasoning and English topics with equal importance on a daily basis. Start reading newspapers regularly. Get SCERT/NCERT textbooks of 8/9/10 classes. PSC Bulletin of Kerala PSC is also a reliable source. You can refer to books( Books for LDC) too.
