SSC MTS Recruitment 2024 Notification: The Staff Selection Commission has released the notification for the Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) Examination 2024 on the official website – ssc.gov.in. Candidates with a 10th-grade certificate can apply online for SSC MTS 2024 on or before July 31. However, the last date to submit application fee is August 1. The application correction window will be open on 10 and 11 August.

SSC MTS 2024 exam is slated to be held in October or November 2024. It is a national-level exam conducted to shortlist eligible candidates for Multi-Tasking Staff and Havaldar posts in various government ministries, departments, and offices. The selection process comprises two stages: Computer-Based Test (CBT) and Physical Efficiency Test (only for havaldar posts) followed by document verification. Candidates must pass all stages of the SSC MTS recruitment process to secure their desired job. The monthly salary of SSC MTS ranges from Rs 18,000 to 22,000.

SSC MTS Notification 2024

The SSC MTS Notification 2024 PDF for 8326 vacancies has been issued on the official website at ssc.gov.in. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online for the Multitasking Staff (MTS) and Havaldar posts between June 27 to July 31. The deadline for submission of application fee is August 1.

SSC MTS 2024 Vacancy 

The Staff Selection Commission has announced 8326 vacancies for the SSC MTS exam. Of these, 4887 vacancies are for Multi Tasking Staff and 3439 for Havaldar posts in CBIC and CBN. Last year, a total of 1558 vacancies were notified, with 1198 for Multi Tasking Staff and 360 for Havaldar posts in CBIC and CBN. 

SSC MTS Application Form

To start your SSC MTS 2024 application, candidates must register themselves in the One Time Registration. For One-time Registration, click on the Register Now link provided in Login Section on the SSC official website: Click Here. You must have a valid email id, mobile number, and digital copy of your photograph, and signature to complete the process. On One Time Registration, enter your basic details, including matriculation or SSLC registration number and should upload the recent photograph and signature. Once you enter your basic details and click on the save icon. Your Registration Number and Password will be sent to you, on your mobile number and Email ID. Save those details for future uses. You can now login using your Registration Number as username and the password provided to you. Change your password, if you wish. After the registration process, the “Basic Details” can be changed only twice.

How to Apply for SSC MTS 2024?

• Log in to the SSC Official website through your Registration Number and password: Click Here
• Under the “Apply” tab click on the “Others” tab. Under “Others”, click on the “Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff Examination”. 
• Your basic details will get automatically updated on the application form, you need to select whether you are in the EWS section or not.
• Select your desired choices of examinations. You can select up to three centres.
• Fill your highest qualification.
• Indicate your Ex-Servicemen and departmental candidates’ eligibility if applicable.
• Check the declaration and click on the “I agree” checkbox and fill up the Captcha code.
• Preview and verify the information and submit the Application.
• Unreserved male candidates have to pay Rs.100/ as application fees. 
• Once you complete the application process, you will receive the confirmation message on your registered email, and mobile.

The application fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or through cash in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.

SSC MTS Notification 2024: Selection Pattern

For selecting the Multi Tasking Staff (MTS), SSC will conduct a two-stage written test followed by the Document Verification Process. The written test pattern is as follows: 

MTS Preliminary Exam

• There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
• Since the tests are conducting across different shifts, the marks scored by candidates in Paper-I will be normalized. 

There will be separate category-wise, State/ UT-wise cut-offs in Paper-I. As the vacancies for MTS are in two age groups i.e.

• 18 to 25 years and
• 18 to 27 years,

the Commission may fix separate age group-wise, category-wise and State/ UT-wise cut-offs in Preliminary tests. 

SSC MTS Stage: II Descriptive Paper

The descriptive paper will only be of qualifying nature and is intended to test elementary language skills because of categorization of the post as Group-C and because of job requirements. Qualifying marks in Descriptive Paper (Paper-II)  will be 40% for unreserved category and 35% for all reserved category candidates.
