The cut-off scores vary every year based on a wide range of subjective factors such as the number of applicants, number of vacancies, reservation criteria, the difficulty level of the OMR test, reservations, among others. Rank List Validity and Appointment
The Ranked List for the Armed Police Assistant Sub Inspector position will remain in force for one year from its finalization date. For open market candidates (Cat. No. 572/2023), once their list is exhausted, the ranked list for Graduate Police Constable/Head Constable in the Police Department (Cat. No. 574/2023) will automatically become void. Appointments will be based solely on merit. It’s important to note that the rules of reservation and rotation (Rule 14 to 17 Part II of the KS & SSR 1958) do not apply to the Department Quota. Appointment is dependent on the availability of vacancies, so inclusion in the Ranked List does not guarantee a position. Candidates remaining on the list at the time of its cancellation will have no claim for appointment.
Rechecking Answer Scripts
While revaluation of answer scripts is not permitted, candidates can apply for a recheck. To do so, you must apply online through your One Time Registration profile on the official Kerala PSC website, www.keralapsc.gov.in. A fee of Rs. 85 is required and must be paid via e-payment. Applications submitted by email, post, or directly will not be considered. The deadline to apply for a recheck is 15 days from the date the Ranked List was uploaded to the website (i.e., on or before June 23, 2025).
Obtaining OMR Answer Sheet Photocopies
If you wish to get a photocopy of your OMR Answer sheets (Part A & Part B), you can apply online through your One Time Registration profile on www.keralapsc.gov.in. A fee of Rs. 335 must be paid via e-payment through the portal. The application window for obtaining photocopies is also 15 days from the date the Ranked List was uploaded (i.e., on or before June 23, 2025). Applications sent through any other method will not be accepted. Each candidate can receive a copy of their answer sheet only once, and copies of OMR sheets invalidated due to any defect will not be issued.
Relinquishing Your Claim for Advice
Candidates who wish to relinquish their claim for advice from the Ranked List must submit an application in the format prescribed by the Commission. This format is available on the official website. The application must be sent to The Secretary, Kerala Public Service Commission, Head Office, Pattom, Thiruvananthapuram-4. Requests not submitted in the prescribed format will not be honored.
The relinquishment request must be duly attested by a Gazetted Officer of the State/Central Government (including their signature, name, designation, and office seal). It must also include a Notarized Affidavit and a self-attested copy of an ID Proof bearing a photograph, as outlined in the General Conditions.
If the relinquishment request, along with the Notarized Affidavit and ID proof, is received within 15 days from the date of publication of the Ranked List, it will be honored against pending vacancies up to the finalization of the Ranked List. After the publication of the Ranked List, relinquishment requests will only be considered if received on or before the date of receipt of the specific vacancy for which the candidate is to be advised.
Destruction of OMR Scripts
Both Part A and Part B of the OMR scripts will be destroyed after six months from the date the Ranked List is finalized.
