Kerala PSC Women Civil Excise Officer Selection Process 2024
The selection process includes a written test, edurance test, physical test and an interview. Those who clear all the stages will be hired for the position. The candidates need to submit their applications with all the relevant documents which shall be proove your eligibility for the selection on the PSC official website.
The written test will consist of 100 questions, with a time duration of 1 hour 30 minitues. Successful applicants will be called endurance test and physical test followed by an interview. This interview will be conducted by a panel of experts.
Kerala PSC Women Civil Excise Officer Eligibility 2024
The Kerala Public Service Commission is inviting applications for the post of Women Civil Excise Officers for the year 2024. Candidates must meet certain eligibility criteria to apply for the post. The most important requirements are the age limit and educational qualification.
Age Limit
- 19-31 Years.
- Candidates born between 02/01/1992 and 01/01/2004 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post.
- Other Backward Communities and SC/ST candidates are eligible for age relaxations as per the conditions of the Kerala PSC
- For conditions regarding age relaxation, please see Para-(2) of the General Conditions under Part II of this Gazette Notification. (Subject to the conditions that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years)
Educational Qualification
Applicants should have the following qualifications:
- Pass in Plus Two or its equivalent
- Candidates who claim equivalent qualification shall produce the relevant Government Order to prove the claim at the time of One Time Verification or as required by the Commission.
Endurance Test
All candidates should successfully complete an endurance test of running 2.5 Kilometers race within 15 minutes.
Physical Efficiency Test
Must qualify in any of the five events out of eight events specified below of the National Physical Efficiency, One Star Standard Test.

Physical Qualifications
Height: A minimum of 152 cm. The minimum height measurement is 150 cm for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities.

Note:
- Each eye must have a full field of vision.

Kerala PSC Women Civil Excise Officer Recruitment 2024: Medical Certificate
Candidates must present a Medical Certificate in original, in the prescribed form, at the time of the physical efficiency test, certifying their physical fitness and eyesight without glasses. The Medical Certificate must be obtained from a Government Medical Officer with the rank of Assistant Surgeon/Junior Consultant or higher.

Kerala PSC Women Civil Excise Officer Job Profile 2024: General Powers & Duties
The Abkari Act delegated various powers to the government, as well as duties and responsibilities to officers at various levels of the Excise, Police, and Revenue departments, for the purpose of enforcing the provisions of the act. The terms ‘Abkari Inspector’ and ‘Abkari Officer’ are defined in the act as common terminology indicating a group of officers at various levels of the department vested with powers under the Act.
- To be Abkari Officers in relation to the functions assigned to them by virtue of their respective post, or designation, for the purposes of sections 34, 35, 38, 39 and 53 of the Act and to exercise all the powers conferred and to perform all the duties assigned on Abkari Officers under the sections aforesaid, within their respective jurisdiction. (with reference to section 34, there shall be no limit of jurisdiction within the State)
- To arrest offenders without warrant and to seize and detain contraband liquor, vehicles, etc., in any public thoroughfare or open place.
- To arrest any suspected or accused persons, refusing to give name or giving false name.
- To give information of an offence either to his immediate official superior or to an Abkari Inspector.
- To get information from land holders with regard to any manufacture of liquor not licensed.
- To accompany articles seized and kept in safe custody of Police, pending orders of a Magistrate or an Abkari Inspector.
