RPF Constable Selection Procedure

The recruitment to the position of constables under Railway Protection Forces is done through a national level examination conducted under the supervision of the Ministry of Railways. Candidates who have the required eligibility criteria are subjected to a number of examinations and tests so as to check whether they are  apt for the position under the ministry. Here are the steps and the procedures conducted by Indian Railway for the recruitment procedure. 

• Application

Candidates who wish to apply can submit their application through the online method under the official website of Indian Railway. It is also important to pay the fees after the submission of the application. • Computer Based Test

The Computer Based Test is the first round of recruitment to the post of constable. Candidates whose application has been approved is called in for an online computer based Test. There are a total of 120 questions which carry 1 mark each. There are also different modules for this test so that knowledge of the candidate from different sections can be tested. This computer based test is a qualifying mode examination. Those candidates who have the required cut off from this test are selected for the physical test and physical measurement round. 

• Physical Examination/ Physical Test

This is the next step of RPF recruitment. Candidates who have passed the exam will be called for a physical examination/ physical test round. There are pre-defined physical criteria for both male and female candidates to be selected for the next round of recruitment.

• Document Verification

Document verification is the last step of the RPF Constable Selection 2021. Candidates who have cleared the CBT and physical examination have to present the documents and proof of identity before the recruitment board before the publishing of the official rank list. If a candidate fails to do so his/her application status can be rejected by the commission.

• Training

Railway Protection Force will publish the final rank list of the candidates who has passed in the selection procedure through the official website of Indian Railways.
