 The Staff Selection Commission released the SSC MTS 2025 notification on June 26. The Commission released the SSC MTS 2025 apply online link with the notification. The Commission also notified 1075 tentative vacancies for the exam. The last date to apply online for the SSC MTS Havaldar exam is July 24. The Commission will also provide the SSC MTS Havaldar 2025 application correction facility from 29th to 31st July 2025.

As per the new notification, the staff selection commission will conduct the Paper 1 of this recruitment from September 20th 2025 to October 24th 2025. Also, MTS preliminary stage exam is a computer based test that will be conducted in different exam centres. Moreover, the SSC will conduct the Paper 2 (descriptive Test) in the month of November 2025 (tentative).

SSC MTS Eligibility Criteria 

Age  Limit  – 18 yrs to 27 yrs (as on 01-09-2025). Age relaxation will be provided to the upper age limit as per the norms of the government.

Educational Qualifications (As on 01-09-2025): The candidates must have passed Matriculation Examination or equivalent from a recognized Board.

Application fee: Rs. 100/-. Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of the fee.

SSC MTS Syllabus 2025

Of the two papers, Paper I is a Computer-based examination with objective questions.

Paper-II is a Descriptive examination, consisting of Short Essay/Letter in English or in any language included in the 8th schedule of the Constitution. The duration of examination is 30 minutes with maximum marks of 50.

SSC MTS Paper I Cut Off

Following minimum cut-off has been applied on the normalized scores of Paper-I during the previous years.

• UR/ EWS-30%
• OBC- 25%
• Others-20%.
