How to Apply for UPSC CDS 2021?
The official notification inviting applications from the eligible candidates has been published by the Union Public Service Commission through their official website. Candidates who wish to apply for the opportunity can now make the application from the official website of UPSC. Here are the steps that have to be followed so as to apply for CDS 2021 online.
Step 1: You should first enter the official website of UPSC to apply for the CDS I Exam to make the online application.
Step 2: Candidates have to enter their personal credentials under the heading “Part I” of the official application form.
Step 3: You should first check the eligibility criteria & then apply for the respective academy which you wish for. (Indian Naval Academy, Indian Air Force Academy, etc.)
Step 4: A registration ID will be generated after “Part A” and after that, you can proceed to “Part B” of the CSD I application form.
Step 5: Upload all scanned documents & signatures in the specified format. (PDF, JPEG, etc.)
Step 6: Finally, you need to pay the application fee and select your examination center.
Step 7: The application fee for the process is INR 200
Step 8: Application fees can be paid online with a debit/credit card or through SBI Net banking, or in person at any SBI Bank branch.
Step 9: Candidates who wish to pay their fees in cash must produce a bank challan during the registration process and send it along with their fees to any SBI bank branch.
Step 10: Fees are waived for female, SC, ST, and physically handicapped candidates.
Step 11: Double-check all details and finally click on the “Submit” button.
Step 12: Keep the application number generated safely with you itself for future reference.
Step 13: Take a print-out of the application form for future reference.

Documents Required for CDS Exam 2021
Candidates who are applying for the examination must have the following documents in hand before filling out the CDS application form.
- Class 10th and 12th certificate
- Class 10th Admit Card
- One photo ID card issued by the government (Aadhaar Card, Voter Card, PAN Card, Passport, Driving License, or any other Photo ID Card issued by the State/Central Government).
- Bank details to pay the fees online for CDS 2021.
Application Fee
Candidates who are applying for the Combined Defence Service (CDS) have to pay application fees through the online method or from any State Bank of India branch through the offline method. Here are the details regarding the application fee for the examination.
- The application fee is Rs. 200/- for all categories.
- The SC/ST/females do not have to pay any fees.
