2. Nature of Work
The work pressure and stress is less compared to commercialized banks. Since the chances of getting posted within the home state are more, it allows the employees to have a good work-life balance. The work is limited since RRBs’ main focus is to provide credit and banking facilities to rural populace, especially small sector loans to farmers, entrepreneurs, and rural co-operative societies. The banking sector is evolving and hence it gives you ample opportunities to develop your skills. Indian economy is growing at a very fast pace, and being a part of this will certainly help you grow. The job offers great security with negligible changes of getting terminated.
3. Career Growth
The career growth of candidates recruited in RRB is limited compared to commercialized banks. RRBs are small in scale and exist for a specific purpose. This sector gives you great exposure to the society as the job involves dealing with the public, which helps the candidate evolve professionally and socially.
As Officer Scale I, a candidate has numerous opportunities for career growth, both inside and outside the organization. By following the hierarchy they get promoted to Scale II and Scale III officers. Employees from Regional Rural Banks are often deputed to other Govt. Departments wherein they get a chance to prove their mettle.
For the office assistant post, they undergo a 6 months training period during which they acquire all the basic knowledge about the functioning of the bank. This is an entry-level job and the so the scope for growth for an IBPS RRB Office Assistant post is quite high.

4. Job Security & Satisfaction
The job security is much higher compared to private sector banks. Job satisfaction is also high since the employees get a chance to work & interact with the rural people, mostly farmers and provide them small sector loans, and assist them with agriculture finance and help in the development of backward areas. These people require a bank account for various purposes like receiving MNREGA Wages, Government grants, to buy products for agricultural purposes (tractors, machinery, etc.) or start a new business. Since the job involves interaction with the common man, the employees feel a sense of purpose for their job as they are making an impact on someone’s life.
RRB Employees also attend workshops/training (apart from their regular work)conducted by the Government to learn more about farming, breeding, optimal usage of water resources, etc. This helps the officers to chart ways in which they can reach people easily, understand their grief and communicate effectively with the rural community, suggest they engage with the banks to secure necessary finances for future activities.
Some officers go out of their way and join NGOs, attend seminars, and other events to gain an edge over other employees to grow in their careers to take an additional step.
