Age Relaxation Eligibility Criteria for ISRO 2026 

Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India orders for:

• Serving Government employees
• Ex-Servicemen
• Persons with Disabilities (PwBD)
• Meritorious Sportspersons
• Widows, Divorced women, and women judicially separated from their husbands who have not remarried

ISRO Eligibility Criteria 2026 – Educational Qualification

Eligibility for Assistant & Upper Division Clerk (Post No. 1, 3 & 5)

• Graduation with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale, as declared by any recognised university.
• Pre-requisite condition: Graduation must have been completed within the stipulated duration of the course as prescribed by the university.
• AND Proficiency in the use of computers.

Eligibility for Junior Personal Assistant & Stenographer (Post No. 2, 4 & 6)

Candidates must satisfy one of the following two qualification routes:

Route 1 (Graduate Route):

• Graduation with minimum 60% marks or CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale from a recognised university, completed within the stipulated course duration.

OR

Route 2 (Diploma Route):

• Diploma in Commercial/Secretarial Practice with minimum 60% marks or CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale from a recognised Board/University, completed within the stipulated course duration.
• PLUS one year of experience as Steno-Typist/Stenographer.

AND (applicable to both routes):

• A minimum speed of 60 words per minute (wpm) in English Stenography.
• Proficiency in the use of computers.

In the case of candidates holding a Diploma in Commercial Practice (DCP) or Diploma in Commercial and Computer Practice (DCCP), the Apprenticeship Training Certificate issued by the Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT) under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme, Apprenticeship Act 1961, will be considered equivalent to one year of experience as Steno-Typist/Stenographer.

Important Rules on CGPA and Percentage Calculation

ISRO has laid down strict, specific rules on how CGPA and percentage are evaluated for eligibility — candidates must read these carefully:

1. Where a university mentions both CGPA and percentage in the Degree Certificate or Consolidated Mark-sheet, at least one criterion (either CGPA or percentage) must meet DOS/ISRO’s eligibility norms.
2. Where a university mentions only CGPA in the Degree Certificate or Consolidated Mark-sheet, the CGPA mentioned must necessarily meet ISRO’s eligibility criteria. Conversion of CGPA into percentage of marks is NOT permitted to determine eligibility — regardless of any conversion formula prescribed by the university/institution. The same rule applies in reverse where only percentage is mentioned.

Are Candidates with Integrated or Dual Degree Programs Eligible for ISRO Recruitment 2026?

Yes. ISRO has specified separate guidelines for evaluating CGPA or percentage in dual and integrated degree programmes, and eligibility is determined according to those rules mentioned in the notification.

• Where CGPA/percentage for Graduation and Post-Graduation is mentioned separately in the Dual/Integrated Degree Certificate, the existing procedure for reckoning CGPA/percentage at the graduation level will be followed.
• Where a common/shared CGPA/percentage is mentioned for the entire course of study, that final CGPA/percentage as stated in the certificate will be the basis for determining eligibility.
• (Where the university does not prescribe any CGPA/percentage in the Dual/Integrated Degree certificate, the cumulative CGPA/percentage as per the Final/Consolidated Mark Sheet for the entire course will be considered.
• These criteria apply uniformly, regardless of whether the university/institution prescribes a conversion formula or not.

ISRO Certificate Requirements 2026 – PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) 

Candidates applying against posts reserved for PwBD must submit a self-attested copy of the Disability Certificate in the prescribed format at the time of the Skill Test. Key requirements:

• The certificate must clearly indicate the percentage of disability.
• It must be issued by a Medical Board consisting of at least three (03) members, duly constituted by the Central or State Government, with at least one member being a specialist in the relevant disability field.
• The definition of disabilities is as specified in the schedule of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.

Degree of Disability for Reservation

Only persons suffering from not less than 40% relevant disability are eligible for reservation in services/posts. The eligibility SOP is defined under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) OM No. P-13013/95/2023-UDID/IT/STATISTICS, dated 5th October 2025.

Advisory: Candidates should get their manual disability certificate (if any) digitized on the UDID portal well in advance for verification purposes.

ISRO Certificate Requirements 2026 – OBC Category

Candidates applying for posts identified under the OBC category must possess a valid OBC certificate (in the prescribed proforma applicable for reservation/concessions under the Government of India) as on the last date of receipt of online application, i.e., 16-08-2026, issued by the Competent Authority.

ISRO Certificate Requirements 2026 – EWS Category

Candidates applying for posts identified under the EWS category must possess a valid Income and Asset Certificate (valid for financial year 2026-2027) in the prescribed proforma, issued by the Competent Authority.

ISRO 2026 – No Objection Certificate (NOC) Requirement

Candidates currently employed under Central/State Government, Public Sector Undertakings, or Autonomous Bodies must note:

• They must apply only with prior intimation and permission of their employer.
• A No Objection Certificate must be submitted at the time of the Skill Test or whenever demanded.
• If a candidate gains or changes employment after applying, they must inform the new employer of the application details and mandatorily submit an NOC at the Skill Test.
• Failure to submit the original NOC at the time of Skill Test means the candidate will not be permitted to appear for the Skill Test, and Travel Allowance (TA) will not be paid. Such candidates lose all rights to further participate in the recruitment process.
• Any false claim regarding NOC discovered at any stage results in disqualification.

ISRO Recruitment 2026 – Additional Eligibility-Related Conditions

• The responsibility to ensure fulfillment of eligibility criteria rests entirely with the applicant. Candidates are strongly advised to read the full advertisement and FAQ before applying.
• Applications that do not conform to the requirements indicated in the advertisement, or are incomplete, will not be considered.
• Selected candidates are liable to be posted at any Centre/Unit of the Department of Space/ISRO and may be transferred at any time based on organisational need.
