Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are a franchise cricket team based in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. This team playing Indian Premier League (IPL) was found in 2021 will play its home matches at the BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. The captain of team is KL Rahul and coach Andy Flower. The home ground of the team will be the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium. The stadium was renamed from Ekana Cricket Stadium in honor of the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a former India Prime Minister. The team is owned by RPSG group who earlier owned the Rising Pune Supergiants franchise between 2016 and 2017.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) is one of the two new teams that will be part of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. Lucknow Super Giants is owned by RP Sanjiv Goenka Group and the team will be led by KL Rahul in the Indian Premier League 2022. He had left from Punjab Kings before IPL 2022 mega auction.
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 6 wickets in the match held on March 31, 2022. They will play its next match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on April 4, 2022, at 7.30 PM.
Before IPL 2022 auction, Lucknow Super Giants selected KL Rahul, Ravi Bishnoi, and Marcus Stoinis and during the auction, the franchise selected one of the best player making the team challenging. LSG also captured the previous fast bowler from Australia, Andy Bichel as their bowling coach.

During IPL Auction 2022, Lucknow Super Giants made use of their full funds. Out of the Rs. 59.8 crores, Rs. 17 crores were utilized to chose KL Rahul as the Captain of the new IPL team. KL Rahul, Lucknow Super Giants Captain has been the most prolific run-scorer in the Indian Premier League over the last three seasons.
