PSC will recruit suitable male candidates for its service as Sub-Inspectors in the Police Department through the written test as well as the PET. The latest recruitment notification for Kerala Police SI vacancies are annouced now along with the application date by the commission. The written test date and further information will be provided on the PSC website after the application process is complete. Candidates who are finalized for the post may later call for training. The training period in Police Training College and the Practical Training in District will not be counted for probation, increment, and service. On appointment after successful completion of training, the candidates will be on probation for 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years from the date on which they take independent charge of the station.

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from a Recognized University
• Age Limit: The candidate’s age shall be between 20 years and 36 years
• Physical Qualification: Candidates should meet the minimum physical standards mentioned below:

1. Height: 160 cm
2. Chest: 81 cm with a minimum expansion of 5cm

• Eye Sight

• Each eye must have a full field of vision. Color Blindness, Squint, or any abnormal or diseased condition of the eye or the lids of either eye are not permitted.
• Candidates must be free from apparent physical defects like Knock-knee, Flat Feet, Varicose veins, Bowlegs, Deformed limbs, irregular and protruding teeth, defective speech, and hearing.

General information when uploading Photograph

• The photo to be uploaded can be in Color/ black and white.
• The face and shoulder of the candidate should be clearly visible
• Photo should be of 200 pixels height and 150 pixels width
• The file size should not exceed 30kb and it should be in JPG format
• The background of the photo should be either light-colored or white in color
• The eyes should be open
• Face should be centrally focused
• Photograph wearing cap goggles, (except cap, veil worn in adherence to religious custom), photographs showing a portion of the face, photo with unclear face shall not be accepted.
