KAS Previous Question Papers with Answers and Solution
Kerala Public Service Commission is conducting Kerala Administrative Service Exam (KAS) exam for the first time in 2019. Kerala PSC has notified the syllabus of the Kerala Administrative Service Exam (KAS Exam) recently. The exam pattern and syllabus are similar to that of IAS/IPS Exam (UPSC Civil Services Exam). Kerala Administrative Services (KAS) : Eligibility Criteria
The Educational Qualification for Stream 1, Stream 2. Stream 3 posts is the same;
- Bachelor’s Degree including a professional course in any subject from a University recognized by a University established by Kerala Government or UGC or awarded by National Institutes established by the Government of India.
The Age Limit for the respective posts are;
- A candidate who has applied for the roles which fall under Stream 1 needs to have a minimum age of 21 and a maximum age of 32 years. (Candidates who have born in between 02.01.1987 and 01.01.1998).
- A candidate who has applied for the roles which fall under Stream 2 needs to have a minimum age of 21 and a maximum age of 40 years. (Candidates who have born in between 02.01.1979 and 01.01.1998).
- A candidate who has applied for the roles which fall under Stream 3 needs to have a minimum age under 50 as per 1st Jan 2019.
Kerala Administrative Services (KAS) Exam Pattern
The KAS exam 2019 will be conducted under three tiers. Two written and one interview. The written ones will be of:
The preliminary examination shall be in Objective mode only. Both General Studies question papers would be in English.

The main examination will be a descriptive type examination containing 3 papers of 100 marks each.

Questions of the Main examination will be provided in English while the candidates can write the answers
either in English or in Malayalam.
Selected candidates from the main examination will be called for a face to face personal interview. The final rank list will consider the candidate’s performance in the interview too. The interview has a maximum score of 50 marks.
The candidates selected for KAS (Junior Time Scale) shall undergo training for a period of 18 months and be on probation for a total period of 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years inclusive of the period of training.
