The selection for the post of Assistant Engineer (Civil) in the Irrigation Department will be conducted through a written/OMR/online test, as notified by the Kerala Public Service Commission.

• The written examination will be the primary stage of evaluation.
• Further selection stages, if any, will be conducted as per existing government rules and PSC procedures.
• Candidates who qualify in the written test will be called for document verification to confirm their eligibility, qualifications, and other required details.

Category 537/2025 – Direct Recruitment

Candidates must be between 18 and 36 years of age (born between 02/01/1989 and 01/01/2007). Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC communities as per KPSC rules.

Eligible candidates should hold a Degree in Civil Engineering from any Kerala university or an Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Civil Engineering. Candidates claiming equivalent or higher qualifications must provide proper certificates at the time of verification.

Category 538/2025 – Departmental Recruitment

This category is reserved for departmental candidates such as Overseers, Draftsmen, Clerks, and Last Grade Servants with a minimum of 2 years of service in the Irrigation Department.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old; there is no upper age limit. Required qualifications are the same as Category 537/2025 – a Civil Engineering degree or Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers (India). Departmental candidates must produce a valid service certificate to confirm their eligibility.

Note: In both categories, qualifications recognized as equivalent or higher by the Government or KPSC are accepted.
