The number of vacancies for the Kerala PSC Assistant Jailor Grade I Recruitment 2026 is listed as Anticipated. • Eligible Birth Dates: 02/01/1989 – 01/01/2007 (both dates included)

4. Physical Standards

Not Eligible:

• Women candidates
• Differently Abled candidates

Measurement will be taken before the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

Other Requirements:

• No colour blindness, squint, or morbid eye conditions
• Must be free from physical defects (Knock-knee, Flat foot, Varicose veins, etc.)
• Must provide a medical certificate from a Civil Surgeon (original)

6. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Candidates must qualify 5 out of 8 events. No second chance will be given in case of injury during PET.

7. Probation & Training

Kerala PSC Assistant Jailor Grade 1 Selection Process 2026

The selection process for all three categories may include a Written Test / OMR Test / Online Test followed by the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Candidates must successfully complete both stages to be considered for final selection.

1. Written / OMR / Online Examination

If Kerala PSC conducts a written or online exam as part of the selection process, candidates must follow the confirmation procedure below:

• Candidates must submit a confirmation for writing the exam through their One Time Registration (OTR) profile within the period announced by Kerala PSC.
• Only candidates who submit confirmation will be allowed to generate and download their Admission Ticket.
• Admission Tickets can be downloaded during the last 15 days before the exam date.
• Applications of candidates who fail to submit confirmation within the allowed period will be rejected without exception.
• Kerala PSC will publish the confirmation window dates and admit card availability in the Examination Calendar.
• Candidates will receive notifications through:

  • Their PSC Profile

  • Registered mobile number

• Only those who download their Admission Ticket will be permitted to attend the exam.

2. Physical Measurement Test (PMT)

Before the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), candidates must undergo a physical measurement check.

The measurements include:

• Height
• Chest size and chest expansion

Candidates who do not meet the minimum physical standards will not be allowed to participate in the PET.

3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

All eligible candidates must participate in the PET and qualify in at least 5 out of 8 events, meeting the prescribed One-Star Standards. If a candidate is injured during the PET, no further chance will be given.

4. Medical Fitness Verification

Candidates who clear the PET must undergo a medical examination.

Requirements:

• Must meet the vision standards prescribed (6/6 distant, 0.5 near vision).
• Must be free from physical defects (Knock-knee, Flat foot, Varicose veins, Bow legs, etc.).
• Medical Certificate must be issued by a Civil Surgeon or above.
• Vision details must be specified clearly (vague descriptions like “normal vision” will not be accepted).

5. Certificate Verification

Eligible candidates must upload and present all documents, including:

• Educational qualification certificates
• Service certificate (for categories 452/2025 and 453/2025)
• Medical certificate
• Identity documents

Failure to present documents may result in rejection.

6. Preparation of Rank List

• Kerala PSC will prepare a rank list based on exam performance and merit.
• The list remains valid for:

  • Maximum: Until a new list is published or 3 years, whichever is earlier.

• Candidates will be advised for appointment according to:

  • Rank order

  • Reported vacancies within the list validity period

For service-category posts (452/2025 & 453/2025), reservation and rotation rules do not apply; advice is strictly based on rank order.

1. One Time Registration (OTR)

   • New candidates must register on the Kerala PSC portal using the OTR system.

   • Upload a recent passport-sized photograph (taken within the last six months) with name and date printed at the bottom.

   • Once uploaded, this photograph will be valid for 10 years.

2. Login to Profile

   • Registered candidates can log in using their User ID and password.

   • Ensure all personal information is correct before applying, as it cannot be altered after submission.

3. Apply for the Post

4. Application Submission
