Kerala PSC Civil Excise Officer Eligibility Criteria 2025

To be eligible for the Civil Excise Officer post, candidates must meet the following criteria:

1. Age Limit: Candidates must be aged between 19 and 31, born between 02.01.1993 and 01.01.2005. Age relaxation applies for SC/ST and other backward communities as per the conditions in the General Conditions section of the notification. The maximum age limit is 50 years.
2. Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have passed the Plus Two Examination or its equivalent. Additional qualifications recognized by Government orders may also be considered.
3. Physical Qualifications:
   • Height: Minimum height of 165 cm (160 cm for SC/ST candidates).
   • Chest: Minimum chest measurement of 81 cm with a 5 cm expansion (76 cm and 5 cm expansion for SC/ST candidates).

5. • Must be certified by a Medical Officer for physical fitness and ability to perform active outdoor work.
   • Visual standards must meet the required distant and near vision without spectacles, and each eye must have a full field of vision.
   • The candidate must be free from physical defects like flat feet, varicose veins, or defective speech and hearing.

Kerala PSC Civil Excise Officer Selection Process 2025

The selection process for the Civil Excise Officer post includes the following steps:

Endurance Test

Candidates must complete a 2.5-kilometer race within 13 minutes to qualify.

Physical Efficiency Test

Candidates must qualify in at least five out of the eight events specified in the National Physical Efficiency Test (One Star Standard Test), which includes events like the 100-meter race, high jump, long jump, shot put, cricket ball throw, rope climbing, pull-ups, and a 1500-meter run.

Physical Measurement

Candidates’ physical measurements will be taken during the Physical Efficiency Test/Endurance Test. Those who do not meet the required physical measurements will not be allowed to participate in the tests. Any accidents or injuries during the test will result in the disqualification of the candidate.

1. Tentative Schedule: The tentative schedule for physical measurement and efficiency tests will be published on January 15, 2025.

Candidates must ensure they meet all the physical standards and successfully complete the tests to proceed in the selection process.

How to Apply For Civil Excise Officer Recruitment 2025? Apply Procedure

1. ONE TIME REGISTRATION:

   • After registering, log in using your User-ID and Password to apply for the post.
2. Submitting Your Application:

   • If you’re creating a new profile, upload a photograph taken within the last six months. Ensure the candidate’s name and the date of the photo are printed at the bottom.

Kerala PSC Civil Excise Officer Salary 2025

As per government rules, the salary scale for the Civil Excise Officer (Trainee) post is ₹27,900 – ₹63,700. KPSC Civil Excise Officer Recruitment 2025 Instructions to Candidates

• Caste/Community Discrepancy:
  • If there is a discrepancy between the caste/community claimed in the application and the one entered in the SSLC book, the candidate must produce a gazette notification regarding the change, along with a Non-Creamy Layer certificate or Community Certificate, during certificate verification.
• Familiarity with General Conditions:
