To apply for the Kerala PSC Electrician post in 2026, candidates must meet the required age limit, educational qualifications, and experience standards prescribed by the Commission.

1. Method of Appointment:
Direct Recruitment.

2. Age Limit:
Applicants must be 18–36 years, meaning only those born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included) are eligible. Usual age relaxations apply to SC/ST/OBC categories as per Part II Para 2 of the General Conditions. However, the maximum age limit shall never exceed 50 years with permitted concessions.

3. Educational Qualification:
Candidates must possess any one of the following:

• SSLC or equivalent + NTC in Electrical/Wireman,
  OR
• SSLC or equivalent + Valid Wireman Licence

4. Experience:
A minimum of two years’ experience as a Wireman or Electrician is mandatory. The experience certificate must be in the prescribed format and will be thoroughly verified. Producing a fake certificate may lead to legal action.

5. Equivalent / Higher Qualifications:
Qualifications declared equivalent by Government Orders or accepted under Rule 10(a)(ii) of KS&SSR will also be considered. Candidates claiming equivalency must produce the relevant Government Order during verification.

6. Caste / Community Verification:
If there is any difference between the caste/community claimed in the application and that in the SSLC book, candidates must submit a Gazette Notification along with the required Community Certificate / Non-Creamy Layer Certificate at verification.
