Every year across state departments. PSC recruits at least 10 electricians to the state services. For the last couple of years, PSC accepts only online applications for the majority of its recruitments. For the online application process, and further processes nowadays PSC aspirants relies on the Kerala PSC’s online application portal “thulasi”. From applications to final offers, PSC updates everything on the portal for candidates. So if you are a PSC aspirant, then make sure to have a profile in the application portal with all necessary information before starting your application against any recruitment notification. Here we are discussing the details of the Kerala PSC Electrician online application.
Kerala PSC Electrician Apply Online 2022
Any candidate who wishes to apply for the Electrician post in any of the Kerala State departments through the PSC tests should register themselves in the Kerala Public Service Commission online application portal, called “thulasi”. Unless otherwise it is mentioned in the recruitment notification, the commission only accepts online applications. If the notification specifies the offline applications, candidates can find the Kerala PSC electrician application form download page along with the recruitment notification. The application process includes two stages: the one-time registration, and the application for the specified post. PSC’s one-time registration does not have any application fees or any validity issues, so aspirants need to register only one time with all his/ her personal details then henceforth they can apply against all PSC notifications if they are eligible. While registering yourselves with the online portal candidates need to provide their basic details like name, age, caste, education qualification, experience, etc. A valid mobile number is necessary for the registration since the commission uses the same to communicate with you regarding the admit cards, and other exams updates. On completing this registration aspirants will get their ‘User ID’/ Registration ID’ and the password which they can use for further logins to make the applications.
After successful registration, aspirants can log in to the same portal with their User ID and password to make applications for their desired posts. On logged in, aspirants can find the Notifications tab on the left-hand side, which shows all the active applications. On clicking the same you can find the list of all notifications along with options to click your eligibility for the same. Find the Kerala PSC Electrician notification from the list, and check whether you are eligible for this position. If you are eligible to proceed, click on the Apply tab. On the redirected page, on the Kerala PSC electrician application form you need to fill in some details as required, and after checking the details click on the “Submit” button available at the page end. Till now PSC is not charging the aspirants for tests, so there is no Kerala PSC electrician application fee. Usually, PSC gives a 30 days period to the aspirants to fill the application form, but make sure to check the last date for the application to avoid the last-minute rush. Aspirates can find the Kerala PSC Electrician application date, on the top of the recruitment notification and on the application page.
3 months prior to the scheduled exam date, PSC ask the applicants to confirm their attendance for the written exam. The commission will send you a message on your registered mobile number to remind the same before the window for the same ends. PSC issues the hall tickets only for those who give confirmations and can be download the same from the Thulasi portal.
If you forget the PSC application portal password, you can easily reset the same by clicking on the ‘Forget password’ tab available on the page. But If you forget your User ID aspirants need to contact the PSC’s helpline number 0471 2444438 / 2555538 to retrieve them. So it’s advisable to note them in some books for future references.
Electrician Eligibility Criteria
- Education Qualification: Candidates should have:
- completed SSC/ Matriculation from any recognized board, and
- completed I.T.I Electrician OR I.T.I. (Wireman Trade) OR KGCE (Electrical), or
- Kerala Government Certificate Examination in Electrical Engineering from Institutions recognised by Government, or
- National Trade Certificate in the trade of Electrician issued from any institute recognised
by Government or any other equivalent qualification.
- Age Limit: Candidates ages shall be between 18 years and 39 years (for some departments the upper age limit is 36 years). Only candidates born between January 02, 1982, and January 01, 2003 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. Candidates belonging to Other Backward Communities and SC/ ST are eligible for usual age relaxation.
