The Kerala PSC University Assistant Recruitment 2025 (Category No. 454/2025) comes under the anticipated vacancy category. The exact number of University Assistant vacancies will be determined based on the posts reported by various Universities in Kerala during the validity of the rank list. As per the Kerala PSC rules, the ranked list published for the University Assistant post will remain in force for a minimum of one year and up to a maximum of three years. A common ranked list will be prepared for all Universities included under the Kerala Public Service Commission (Additional Functions) Act, 2015. 1. Written Examination / OMR Test / Online Test
The first stage of the selection is a competitive written test, which may be conducted in OMR or online mode. Only candidates who submit exam confirmation through their Kerala PSC profile will be permitted to write the test. Admission Tickets can be downloaded in the final 15 days before the exam date.
2. Document Verification
Candidates who qualify in the written test will be shortlisted for document verification. At this stage, applicants must produce original certificates proving their age, educational qualification, caste/community, experience (if applicable), and any other claims made in the application. Failure to provide valid documents may lead to disqualification. The Kerala PSC strictly enforces rules regarding false claims and may take disciplinary action for discrepancies.
3. Probation Period
Candidates who are finally selected and appointed as University Assistants will undergo a probation period of two years, which must be completed within a continuous span of three years. During this probation, candidates are required to pass the Secretariat Manual Test and the Accounts Test, which are mandatory for successful completion of probation. Only upon clearing these tests and meeting service requirements will the appointment be confirmed.

1. Complete One Time Registration (OTR)
All applicants must register through the Kerala PSC One Time Registration system before submitting the form. New users should create a profile on the official website and upload a recent photograph taken within the last six months. The candidate’s name and the date of the photograph must be clearly printed at the bottom. Once uploaded correctly, the photo remains valid for 10 years.
2. Login and Submit Application
Registered candidates can log in using their User ID and password. After logging in, click on the “Apply Now” button corresponding to the University Assistant post. After submitting the form, take a printout or save a soft copy for future use. This copy will be required for any communication with the Commission.
