The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) is a border patrol organization of India posted along the border of Nepal and Bhutan. It is one of the branches of Central Armed Police Forces. It comes under the administrative control of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). As per the survey according to 2019, SSB has 94,261 active personnel in 73 battalions. SSB Constable Recruitment 2020 bring forward a wide variety of opportunities.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has published the notification to begin the recruitment process for the constable post in SSB. Interested candidates can apply through the official website. The process to apply has begun from the 29th of August and will close by 20th December. Selected candidates have to serve anywhere in India or outside the territory of India.

- Application fees for UR/ EWS/ OBC is Rs.100/-
- Application fees for SC/ ST/ Ex-Servicemen/ Female Candidates is Nil

SSB Selection Process
The whole selection process comprises of different examination namely the Written examination, Physical Standard Test (PST) &Physical Efficiency Test, Documentation and Skill Test, Detailed Medical Test, Review Medical Exam and Final Selection, A candidate who passes all the above test is selected for the post.
Eligibility required to apply for Constable Posts
The eligibility criteria are different for different post. Detailed information regarding the educational and other requirements are given below.
- Constable (Driver) – 10th passed or equivalent from a recognized board and should possess valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License.
- Constable (Veterinary) – should have passed 10th or Matriculation Exam pass with Science as main subject from a recognized board or university.
- Constable (Veterinary) – must have passed 10th or Matriculation Exam with Science as main subject from a recognized board or university.
- Constable (Ayah) – passed 10th with Science and should possess the first aid examination pass certificate from Red Cross Society or should be trained Dai and have one-year experience in relevant field.
- Constable (Carpenter, Painter and Other) – Passed Matriculation or equivalent and two years’ work experience in respective trade or one-year certificate course or two-year diploma in ITI and must qualify trade test.
