The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur has started the JEE Advanced AAT registration on September 11 on the official website-jeeadv.ac.in. The candidates are advised to fill out the registration form before the last date September 12. The authorities will conduct the JEE Advanced AAT 2022 on September 14. JEE Advanced AAT is held for admission to undergraduate architecture courses (BArch courses) at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT). The organizing body of JEE Advanced AAT 2022 is IIT Bombay. JEE Advanced AAT 2022: Highlights

JEE Advanced 2022

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) of the advanced level will shortly be held at IIT Bombay. The applicants who took the Mains exam and passed will now take this examination. The candidates must submit an online application to register for the exam in order to receive the same. The authorities are already taking applications for the same online. The examinations’ date has been made public. Those who are qualified and eager to take the advanced level examination must submit their applications before the deadline. Candidates must complete the registration form and make sure they meet all the eligibility requirements.

JEE advanced examination will be conducted in an online mode. It will be a computer-based test examination. The exam date has been announced as 28 August 2022. Both the papers are compulsory and each question paper will consist of three sections for each subject, physics chemistry, and Maths. The candidate will have to use the JEE Advanced online account on the day of the exam in order to be able to attend it.

What is AAT in JEE Advance

JEE Advanced AAT is conducted annually for admissions into the B.Arch. courses offered by IIT Roorkee and IIT Kharagpur. For admissions through JEE Advanced AAT 2022, all candidates will be required to qualify JEE Advanced examination. Ineligible candidates will not be able to apply for the entrance examination of JEE Advanced AAT 2022. The offline exam will be conducted at the seven zonal coordinating Indian Institute of Technology. During registration, the candidates will be required to select their preferred exam centres among the seven IIT zones. The result of JEE Advanced AAT 2022 will be declared on September 17, 2022. The qualified candidates will be allotted seats into the two participating IITs based on their performance in the entrance examination.

The JEE Advanced 2022 result is declared on the official website. The authorities will conduct the JEE Advanced Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) for candidates who have qualified JEE Advanced. JEE Advanced Architecture Aptitude Test will be conducted for admission to B.Arch. programme offered by IIT Bombay, IIT Roorkee and IIT BHU respectively.

The JEE Advanced 2022 registration process was launched by the Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Bombay. Through the official website, jeeadv.ac.in, candidates can submit their online JEE Advanced 2022 applications. Candidates who received a rank of up to 250,000 in the JEE Main Result 2022 may apply for JEE Advanced AAT 2022.

JEE Advanced AAT 2022: Exam Dates

What is AAT?

• AAT is Architecture Aptitude Test. It is conducted for candidates who want to pursue undergraduate architectural courses.
• JEE Advanced AAT 2012 examination will be 3 hours long and will consist of questions related to the candidate’s drawing, perception and awareness regarding Architecture.
• Qualify in both JEE Mains and JEE advanced. Have opted for appearing in the AAT exam during registration of JEE Advanced.

JEE Advanced AAT 2022 Eligibility

Only qualified applicants will be permitted to take the JEE Advanced exam. Therefore, applicants for JEE Advanced 2022 should adhere to the following requirements:

• The prospects should be among the top 2,50,000 candidates for JEE Mains exam 2022.
• Candidates should be among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates (including all categories) in B.E./B.Tech. Paper of JEE (Main) 2022. The percentages of various categories of candidates to be shortlisted are: 10% for GEN-EWS, 27% for OBC-NCL, 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, and the remaining 40.5% is OPEN for all. Within each of these five categories, 5% horizontal reservation is available for PwD candidates.
• Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1997. Five years age relaxation is given to SC, ST, and PwD candidates, i.e., these candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1992.
• Need a relaxation of five years to be provided to the candidates belonging to scheduled caste, scheduled Tribes, and persons with disability categories.
• The candidate should not have attempted for JEE Advanced paper two times in two consecutive years.
• A candidate should have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2021 or 2022 with the subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates who had appeared in Class XII (or equivalent) examination, for the first time in 2020 or earlier, are NOT eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2022, unless covered by the one-time special measure set out below.
• A candidate should NOT have been admitted to an IIT irrespective of whether or not the candidate continued in the program OR accepted an IIT seat by reporting “online” / at a “reporting centre” in the past. Candidates whose admission to IITs was cancelled (for whatever reason) after joining any IIT are also NOT eligible to appear for JEE (Advanced) 2022.
• Candidates who have been admitted to a preparatory course in any of the IITs for the first time in 2021 can appear in JEE (Advanced) 2022.
• The candidates who were allocated a seat in an IIT through JoSAA 2021 but (i) did not report “online” / at any “reporting centre” OR, (ii) withdrew before the last round of seat allotment, OR, (iii) had their seat cancelled (for whatever reason) before the last round of seat allotment for IITs, are eligible to appear for JEE (Advanced) 2022.
• The candidates must have been born on or after October 01, 1998.

How to Apply for JEE Advanced AAT 2022?

• First, you have to visit the official site of JEE Advanced on jeeadv.ac.in.
• On the Home page, tap on the option of Apply Now for JEE Advanced AAT2022.
• Enter the login credentials for filling in the application form.
• Enter all the details as mentioned in the JEE Mains Admit Card.
• The Registration Form will appear on the screen.
• Select the ‘Yes’ radio button corresponding to the ‘Would you like to register for AAT 2022?’ label, and click ‘Proceed’.
• Select a preferred exam center from the list of seven IITs.
• Enter all the details that are required other than that.
• Upload the necessary documents for the same in the formats and sizes specified.
• Pay the examination fee if applicable in an online mode.
• Lastly, Print a copy of the submitted application form for convenience in the future.

Documents Required for JEE Advanced 2022 Registration

After generating a USER ID and password, they must upload the following documents,

• Class 10 Pass Certificate
• Date of Birth Certificate
• Class 12 Marksheet
• Caste Certificate, if any
• PwD Certificate
• Scribe Request Letter, if required
• Gazette notification showing the change of name, for students whose names are not the same as their Class 10 or Birth Certificate.
• For the OBC-NCL category, the respective certificate needs to be uploaded.
• Schedule caste or scheduled tribe categories need to upload the caste certificate.
• The candidates seeking reservation for admissions under the persons with disability category or PWD, need to produce a physical disability certificate. Dyslexic candidates need to submit their respective documents to support their disability.
• Such candidates who are opting for compensatory time, need to produce the compensatory time form along with a disability certificate.
• Similarly, those who need the services of a scribe need to submit the respective form.
• For the DS category, the DS form certificate needs to be submitted. It should be issued by the respective record offices of armed force personnel.
• Foreign candidates will have to submit a certificate to prove that the examination they lately qualified for is equivalent to the class 12 examination in India.

• AAT Exam will be held through offline mode only (Pen Paper Based).
• The question paper will be composed of one paper.
• The duration of exam will be 3 hours.
