Kerala High Court Recruitment 2022 Qualifications
The candidates who are applying for the post through direct recruitment method should have the following qualifications:
- Should be a citizen of India.
- Should not be 35 years of age as on 1 January, 2022. The upper age limit will be raised by 3 years for candidates from OBC category and by 5 years for candidates from Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe.
- Should have a degree in Law recognized by the bar council of India for the purpose of enrolment as advocate.
- Should be of good character and free from body deformities.
The candidates who are applying for recruitment by transfer method should have the following qualifications:
- Should have a degree in Law recognized by the bar council of India for the purpose of enrolment as advocate.
- Should not have completed 54 years of age as on 3 March, 2022.
- Should be an approved probationer in at least one of the feeder categories mentioned in the notification.

Kerala High Court Recruitment 2022 Selection Process
The selection process for Munsiff Magistrate is a two stage process. It consists of preliminary exam and main exam.
Preliminary Exam: The preliminary exam will be conducted to shortlist the candidates. The marks obtained in this exam will not be considered for the final merit list. This will be an objective type screening test for a maximum of 200 marks. There will be 100 multiple choice questions of two marks each. There will be a negative marking of one mark for every incorrect answer. The High Court will declare the names of the candidates who have qualified in the preliminary exam. Only these candidates will be eligible for the main test. The names of the qualified candidates will be published in the notice board as well as the web portal of High Court.
Main Examination: The Kerala Judicial Service Main examination will be of two parts – the written test and Viva Voce.
The written exam will consist of four papers of 100 marks each. The duration of each paper will be three hours.
Viva Voce will be for a maximum of 50 marks. The cut off marks for viva voce will be 40% for candidates belonging to general and OBC categories and 35% for candidates belonging to SC and ST categories.
The final mark of the main examination will be the sum of the marks in written exam and viva voce. The admit cards for the exams and viva voce can be downloaded from the official website.
Kerala High Court Recruitment 2022 Application Process
The applications for the post of Munsiff Magistrate has to be submitted online. The online application process has two steps.
Step I – This is for new applicants. This is the first part of registration.
Step II – This is for the applicants who have completed Step I.
A candidate should complete both the steps to complete the application process. Applications have to be submitted through the official website – www.hckrecruitment.nic.in.
Follow the steps given below to submit the application:
- Visit the official webpage of Kerala High Court.
- Click on the link STEP 1 / New Applicant or on the Apply Online button against the notification.
- From the option of POSTS, click Recruitment of Munsiff Magistrate.
- In Step I, fill all the basic information. These information cannot be changed later on.
- In Step II, upload the photograph, signature and detailed information of the candidate.
- All candidates should have a valid mobile number and email ID. All correspondence from High Court will be through SMS or emails. Information regarding the recruitment will be frequently updated in the website.
- Candidates will be provided with an application number after the completion of Step I. This number should be noted down for future reference.
- After filling in all the necessary details and uploading photo and signature, click on the Final Submission link.
- Then pay the application fees.

- SC / ST/ Unemployed people with disability – No fee
- All other categories – Rs. 1000
