In-hand Salary
After the 7th pay commission, the in-hand salary for Police Constable post will be around 35000-38000. And basic pay has increased to Rs. 25000. Whereas the basic salary and grade pay according to the 6th pay commission was Rs. 5000- Rs. 20000 + 2000.
- Dearness Allowance (DA) is 12% of the basic salary.
- House Rent Allowance (HRA) is 24% of the basic salary.
- Transport Allowance based on spending on traveling to the station and back home.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
10+ 2 (Senior Secondary) pass from a recognized Board, on the closing date of receipt of online applications.
Relaxable up to 11th pass only for:
- Bandsmen, buglers, mounted constables, drivers, dispatch riders, etc. of Delhi Police only.
- Sons of serving, deceased, retired police personnel including MultiTasking Staff of Delhi Police
Age Limit
Age 18 to 25 years. The relaxation in the upper age limit can be claimed by the eligible candidates.
Exam Pattern
- Computer-Based Examination for 100 marks.
- Physical Endurance & Measurement Tests(PE&MT) which will be of Qualifying Nature.

Reservation Policy
Vacancies in a recruitment year shall be reserved as follows:
- 15% for Scheduled Caste candidates.
- 7%% for Scheduled Tribe candidates.
- 27% for OBC candidates as per Central List and List issued by the Govt. of NCT of Delhi.
- 10 % for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)
- 10% for Ex-servicemen candidates as per rule. Out of the 10% quota meant for Ex-servicemen, half, i.e. 50% of such quota, will be reserved for having served in the special forces/NSG(Special Action Group) or, having received a QI ‘Qualified Instructors’ grading in the Commando course or, Officers from the Navy/Air Force who has worked in the specialized Commando type units.
