Pr-Requisites for Applying Online
Before applying online candidates should keep the following things ready:
(i) scan their photograph (4.5cm × 3.5cm), Signature, and Left thumb impression (If a candidate is not having a left thumb, he/she may use his/ her right thumb).
(ii) Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS will not be accepted.
(iii) The left thumb impression should be properly scanned and should not be smudged
(iv) The handwritten declaration must be in the candidate’s handwriting and in English only. The handwriting on the handwritten declaration of the candidate is found to be dissimilar/different, as per expert analysis, the candidature of the candidate will be canceled.
(v) Keep the necessary details/documents ready to make Online Payment of the requisite application fee/ intimation charges
(vi) Candidates must have a valid personal email ID, which should be kept active till the declaration of results of the round of Common Recruitment Post (CRP). IBPS may send the notifications like download call letters, etc. through the registered e-mail ID.

Steps for Making the Application
- Candidates appearing must visit the official website of IBPS www.ibps.in.
- Go to the Home page and open the link “CRP for RRBs” and then click on the appropriate option “CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE FOR CRP X- RRBs- OFFICE ASSISTANT (Multipurpose)” to open the online application form.
- Then click on “CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION” to register their application and enter the basic information in the online application form.
- Upon registration candidates will receive a provisional registration number and a password will be generated. The candidate must note down the Provisional registration number and password. Also, candidates will receive the Provisional Registration number and Password via Email & SMS
- Candidates can make necessary changes to uploaded details using the registration numbers and passwords.
- Candidates are required to upload their scanned photograph, Signature – Left thumb impression, and a handwritten declaration as per the specifications given in the Guidelines for Scanning and Upload of documents.
- Candidates should ensure that the given details are correct before submitting the application.
- Click on the “FINAL SUBMIT” button after verifying all the details given. No change is permitted after clicking on FINAL SUBMIT Button.
- Candidates are required to pay the application fee online mode only. The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets, etc.
- On successful completion of the transaction, an e-receipt will be generated.
- Take a printout of the e-receipt and online application form containing fee details.
- For the posts of Office Assistant (Multipurpose), the candidate should indicate in the online application the state to which he/she opts for provisional allotment on selection. The option once exercised will be irrevocable cannot be changed.
- The names of RRBs for giving the order of preference will be available based on the state selected to apply. The candidate should select the center of examination in that particular state only.

All the exams will be held through online mode and will be of objective type.All sections (except English Language section & Hindi Language section) will be bilingual (i.e. will be asked in both English & Hindi). Note: There is no interview for IBPS RRB 2024 Office Assistant exam. The final selection will be based on marks obtained by a candidate in mains exam of RRB Clerk.
1/4th marks will be deducted for every wrong answer attempted by a candidate.
Penalty for Wrong Answers
There will be a penalty for incorrect responses marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty to arrive at a corrected score. If a question is left blank.
Score Calculation for IBPS RRB Exam
The accurate scores received by each of the competitors in different sessions will be normalized using the equip-percentile method. Scores up to two decimal points shall be considered for the total calculations.
IBPS RRB Cut-off Score (Online Main examination)
Each applicant will be expected to achieve a minimum score in each test of the Online Main Examination and also a minimum complete score to be considered for more processes. Depending on the number of State/ UT wise vacancies available, cut-offs will be decided and candidates will be considered for temporary allotment. Before the completion of the provisional allotment process scores obtained in the Online Main Examination will not be shared with the candidates.

IBPS RRB Clerk Selection Process 2024
The IBPS RRB Selection process involves three stages as discussed below:
IBPS Preliminary Exam
- A preliminary examination is conducted before the Main Examination. This exam is applicable for the Office Assistant and Office cadre I post.
- There will be 80 questions for 80 marks, with candidates having 45 minutes to answer them. There will be 40 questions from Reasoning (common to both posts), 40 questions from Numerical Ability, and 40 questions from Quantitative Aptitude for the Officer Scale I.
IBPS RRB Mains Exam
- It is a 200 marks examination comprising 5 sections (English/Hindi, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge, Financial Knowledge, and Professional Knowledge) as per the post, a candidate is applying for. The aspirants must check out the preparation tips to score better marks in the exam.
- The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using the equi-percentile method.
- Scores up to 2 decimal points shall be taken for the purpose of calculations.
- Candidates are shortlisted for interviews by considering the scores obtained in the main examination.
IBPS RRB Interview Round
- Candidates who clear the main examination for the RRB exam are eligible to appear for an interview.
- The minimum marks required to qualify for the IBPS RRB interview is 40% (35% for reserved candidates).

- Candidates are selected on the basis of the 80:20 ratio of Mains and Interview.
- Candidates who qualify for the interview are selected for the provisional allotment process.
- Post interview, a combined score is generated including the sum of marks obtained in the Main examination and interview.

IBPS RRB Cut-Off 2024 Previous Year Cut-Off
The IBPS RRB office assistant cut-off will give an outline about the minimum qualifying marks that should be scored by the candidates if they are planning to appear for the mains. Only those candidates who are qualifying for the preliminary exam can attend the main examination.
