SSC JE Eligibility 2024 – Age Limit, Qualifications

1. SSC JE – Nationality
The candidate must be either a
- Citizen of India
- A subject of Nepal
- A subject of Bhutan
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962 to permanently settle in India or
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India
Note: For candidates other than citizen of India and falling under the rest of categories mentioned above has to present a certificate of eligibility by Government of India.
2. SSC JE – Age Limit
SSC JE Age Limit (as on 01/08/2024)
For the posts for which age limit is upto 30 years- The candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-08-1994 and not later than 01-08-2006.
For the posts for which age limit is upto 32 years- The candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-08-1992 and not later than 01-08-2006.

Note: Candidates should note that the Date of Birth as filled by them in the online Application Form will be treated as final and any request for change in the DoB will not be entertained by the Commission under any circumstances. For proof of Date of Birth, only Matriculation/ Secondary Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate will be accepted by the Commission at the time of Document Verification.
