Established in 1907 and headquartered in Chennai, Indian Bank is one of the few nationalised banks in India. Every year Indian bank recruits hundreds of graduates to their service in Junior Management Scale as Probationary Officers. The bank uses two sets of recruitments to find the eligible candidates; through IBPS PO recruitment and the one year Post Graduation Diploma in Banking and Finance (PGDBF) course at Indian Bank Manipal School of Banking (IBMSB). For both selections, the exam pattern and the syllabus remains the same, while the second one is less competitive over the IBPS recruitment.
