IBPS SO salary : IBPS SO Basic Pay is Rs 23,700. The work of an IT Officers handle deals with software maintenance of Core Banking System (CBS), Data Maintenance, Network Security, Management of Mobile and Internet Banking, Digital Transactions and other technical issues, etc.

1: What does the acronym "ATM" stand for in banking?
Allowances | Income |
Dearness Allowances | It is basically the cost of living that is provided by the bank. It is 36 % of Basic Pay which comes down to Rs 8605.88 |
House Rent Allowances (HRA) | This allowance depends on the area being posted hence c can vary from 7-9 % depending upon which city the candidate is posted |
Special Allowances | It is defined as the performance bonus or Incentives which an individual gets on performing exceptionally good. It is 7.75 % of the Basic Pay |
City Compensatory Allowances (CCA) | It is given in consideration of the high cost of living in metropolitan areas and depends on the city in which they are posted. It is 3-4% depending on the city you are posted in. |
Provident Fund (PF) Contribution | It is a part of a candidate’s monthly income which is saved so that the candidate can claim it after retirement. It is Rs 3000-3500 per month |

IBPS SO Syllabus & Exam Pattern: Important Points
- The exam will be conducted in three phases: Preliminary, Mains and Interview Process.
- IBPS has introduced separate sectional timing for each section in the prelims exam. The IBPS SO preliminary examination has a total duration of 120 minutes and 40 minutes for each section.
- A candidate must appear for the Prelims first and the selected students after the Preliminary Exam will be eligible to give the Mains Exam.
- The score of the Preliminary Exam will not be taken into consideration for the final allotment. The final selection will be based on the Mains Exam and Interview Process.
- The Mains Examination will contain questions only from the Professional Knowledge Subjects.
