Every year Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts all India IBPS SO recruitment tests to hire professionals from various sectors to the banking sector. Through this single test, IBPS select candidates for six different positions across the Indian banking sector in Grade 1 officers cadre: IT Officer, HR Officer, Law Officer, Agricultural Field Officer, Rajbhasha Adhikari, and Marketing Officer. Thus selected candidates will get the salary in the pay scale– Rs. 23700-980/7 – 30560-1145/ 2-32850 – 1310/7-42020 across the 11 participating banks. Steps to Apply Online for IBPS SO 2022

Step 1: IBPS SO Registration
- Visit the official website of IBPS SO i.e. ibps.in to apply for the exam.
- Select the option of ‘Click here for New Registration’.
- The registration form for creating the User Profile will appear.
- Fill in general details like name, date of birth and contact details- valid email ID and mobile number.
- Click on ‘Register’.
- A Provisional Registration Number and Password will appear on the screen.
- Applicants will also receive an email and SMS on their registered email ID and a mobile number indicating the same.
Step 2: Fill IBPS SO Application Form
- Log in using these credentials to proceed with the IBPS SO application process.
- Candidates will have to provide personal and contact details as well as details about their academic qualification, work experience, preference exam centre, etc.
- Then, they will have to upload scanned images of their recent photograph, signature, thumb impression and handwritten declaration as per the specifications are given on the screen.
- After going through all the details carefully, click on ‘Final Submit’ to pay the application fees.
Step 3: Payment of Application Fees
- This is the last step for completing the application process. Aspirants have to remit the requisite application fees by different online modes.
- Candidates can pay the fees using a Credit/ Debit card, Net banking, Cash Card & Wallet and IMPS.
- They must enter the essential payment details on the bank page that appears and save the e-receipt of the online transaction as proof of payment.
“I, …………(Name of the candidate)………….., hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”
On successful registration of the application, an email/ SMS intimation with the Registration Number and Password generated will be sent to the candidate’s email ID/ Mobile Number given in the online application form as a system-generated acknowledgement for the application.

To complete the IBPS Specialist Officer application, candidates should pay the required application fee through any of the given online modes. The fee payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/ Visa/ Master Card/ Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards, and Mobile Wallets.

IBPS SO 2022 Exam Guidelines
Candidates can check below the exam day guidelines released for the IBPS SO exam 2021-2022:
- Candidates need to bring the printed copy of the IBPS SO admit card to the exam centre along with one original and photocopy of the identity proof
- In view of the COVID-19 situation, different reporting times will be printed for a set of candidates. They need to report much before the reporting time to avoid overcrowding
- Candidates must report at least 15 minutes before the reporting time mentioned on IBPS SO admit card
- Wearing a mask is compulsory
- Candidates are also allowed to carry a personal hand sanitiser of 50 ml
- Candidates can carry a personal transparent water bottle and a ballpoint pen
- Candidate registration will be done through photo capture
- Rough sheets will be kept at each candidate’s desk
- IBPS SO prelims admits card will not be collected at the exam centre. However, it will be duly authenticated/stamped by the exam centre staff. Candidates will need to retain the call letter (along with authenticated/ stamped copy of the ID proof) safely. The same should be brought while appearing in the mains exam.
- Candidates need to bring one additional photograph (same as pasted by the candidates on call letter)
- Candidates need to affix one photograph on the admit card and bring one photograph along with the call letter
